Just trying to make sure everything is norma!!

About 7 hours ago I brought home my bunny. I noticed him eating a lot of his cecotropes. I have yet to see him drink any water and I have not seen him pee at all either. However I also wasn’t near his playpen all day long either and I did go out for a bit. Should I be worried??

Why is my rabbit eating his cecotrope poop?

I got a new bunny a few hours ago. He’s still adjusting to his new environment but I do have company over and they are making a lot of noise even though I’ve repeatedly told them to be quiet. Anyways my new bunny keeps eating his cecotropes constantly. I’m worried. Why is he eating so much of...

Why is my rabbit eating his cecotrope poop?

Thank you so much! I figured it was that since he keeps putting his mouth by his private area and then I see him chewing something. I think he dropped at piece of it and might have steeped on it since it’s kinda squished. I just wanted to make sure that he was ok!!

Why is my rabbit eating his cecotrope poop?

I just got my rabbit! He’s been exploring his playpen for about 30 minutes now. But I noticed he is eating something that looks like his poop? It’s like a long poop? Idk how to explain it. Is he okay?

What to put down on bottom of playpen if my bunny isn’t yet litter trained?

I contacted the breeder and she said she uses pee pads in the playpen he’s currently in and that he hasn’t chewed it! I’m going to put the pee pads down for now and watch him very closely to make sure he doesn’t eat them, if he does I’ll remove them. Thanks for the advice!!

What to put down on bottom of playpen if my bunny isn’t yet litter trained?

I’m going to put pee pads down for now. I asked the breeder what she used and she also said pee pads and that he had not chewed them. Obviously I’m going to observe him very carefully to make sure he isn’t eating something he’s not supposed to be!

What to put on bottom of carrier?

I’m going to get my rabbit from the breeder tomorrow!! I bought a carrier (way smaller than I thought but will work for now, it’s only a 23 minute car ride) should I just put pee pads down on the bottom of the Carrier or should I put something soft like a towel??

What temperature is too cold for a rabbit?

My rabbit is going to be staying in my living room. That room in particular gets very cold at night and my mom doesn’t want to run the heat downstairs all night long. I was wondering what temperature is too cold for him? And any tips on how to keep him warm?

What to put down on bottom of playpen if my bunny isn’t yet litter trained?

I’m getting him in 3 days. I think for now I’m just going to put down a bunch of pee pads and see how he does. He’s way too young to be neutered so potty training probably won’t be very affective until he’s older.

What to put down on bottom of playpen if my bunny isn’t yet litter trained?

I’m a new bunny mom. My bunny is 8 weeks old and he’s not litter trained yet. Originally I was thinking of putting those interlocking foam muzzle mats on the bottom of his playpen but then I read that if he were to eat it he could get sick. I’m a little hesitant to put an area rug down for two...

Nature Miracle’s products safe for rabbits?

I have tile flooring all throughout my house expect for in my living room which has hard wood floors. I always use a swiffer to mop the floor but I’m not sure if that’s a safe choice for my rabbit. I know vinegar and water is a good choice but I heard Nature’s Miracle’s products are all rabbit...

What to mop my floors with? Don’t want to use anything that will be harmful to my rabbit .

My entire downstairs has tile flooring. Usually we use a swifter to mop the floors. I’m assuming a swifter would be toxic to my new bunny. I was wondering what suggestions anyone could give me that would be safe for rabbits.

What to put in a bunnies first aid kit?

I’ve done my research on the pellets don’t worry. I’m going to be feeding him Oxbow young rabbit food which is what the breeder is feeding him! Thank you for the advice!

What should I put on the bottom of my bunnies playpen if he’s not litter trained?

I’m getting my new baby bunny next Sunday! He is only 8 weeks old. Obviously he is too young to be nurtured and the breeder said she already stated to litter train him and I should continue to do so. She also stated that it’s not going to be 100% successful considering that he is not yet...

Does my baby bunny need alfalfa hay or is alfalfa pellets enough?

I’m getting my bunny next week. He is 8 weeks old. The breeder I’m getting him from says that she feeds him 1/4 cup of alfalfa pellets daily and Timothy hay. I was wondering if that is enough alfalfa for him. I know alfalfa is very important for baby bunnies to have. I’m not sure if I need to...
