What on Earth is my bunny?!

With the large ears maybe part Flemish? Those ears look VERY big! I have lionhead crosses but most have some long hair around their neck and/or between the ears, etc. I can't see that in these pictures but, not to say he isn't.

My baby bunny won’t let me hold her

I agree, slow and steady. You need to take it slow, hold her for a short time, give her a treat (could be pellets, or a favorite veggie, small piece of carrot/banana/ etc. afterwards. She will associate the holding with a treat and that equals GOOD in their eyes. But be consistent, hold her...

    Toys

Baby stack-able cups with some treats in them..they will throw them around. Also try the baby links...plastic "C" shaped items...you can string them to hand in the cage or just o the side. My buns also like cat plastic balls (but be careful they can chew them up). Try cutting strips of fleece...

Awesome, glad it worked...hope you gave him a treat...I forgot to mention  I usually give a piece of papaya after the front feet and then after the bottom feet - so they get used to the fact they get a treat. I will also will split a banana chip in half and they will get half for front...

    Alyssa's Bunny Blog!

Yeah, but you are VERY responsible! My daughter and I do nails together. I usually hold them, their back to my chest/stomach, my left hand around the front holding behind the back of the front legs (can't bite then), and place them on my leg (covered with a towel so I don't get too scratched...

    Alyssa's Bunny Blog!

I'm sorry to hear. Maybe after the vet appt you will have more information on if she is indeed blind. Maybe a month separation is needed and then you can try again see if it helps any. I'm so sorry it's difficult. He may only like having someone around OUTSIDE his space but not within his...

    Alyssa's Bunny Blog!

Alyssa, Have you thought, and I know it sounds crazy, but biting their ear when they nip/bite, then tell them "No Biting". When the "OUCH" didn't work or the squeal I just picked them up, bit their ear, NOT HARD, but enough that they felt it, then I would say "NO BITE", we give love, kisses...

    Alyssa's Bunny Blog!

You're doing amazing. It will work out. Once they are both flopping, grooming, it's a pretty done deal, especially since there isn't a lot of nipping. Bugs will need to get accustomed to sharing ALL of his space, but he will get there. Remember that there will be some scuffs, even later on...

    Nervous about Neutering! Need advice

I am so very sorry for those who lost their babies during surgery/anesthesia. :(:(:(:( I must be completely blessed; I have had 33 rabbits spayed/neutered all made it through. I had one female that began to bleed out a bit because her uterus was down farther and smaller so she had a larger...

    Humping

Once dominance has been decided this can curb these "outbursts" but know it is normal for these things to happen every so often, even with a bonded pair. Just make sure, like others have stated, to separate if it gets aggressive. You don't want them to fight, it could mess up the bond. If...

    Taking rabbits out in public

I am scared of disease with my buns too. I would love to take my dog corrals to a park, set them up and let the buns run a bit, try to get them out there, used to noises, people other than myself and my kids, as I am trying to adopt some out (about 20) but I am SUPER picky about who. But I'm...

    Bunny won't stop biting

I have a pair that do this, the male, actually, does this. I say BE NICE, in a stern voice. I also make sure I talk to them and tell them what I am doing etc. I will/have also pushed, firm but gently, down on the head/neck area to show dominance. Mother rabbits do this, I will also place my...
