    Rabbit fur growth

I find that when fur is growing back in, the skin sometimes temporarily changes color.

    Thank you both!

Should I bring my bonded pair together if ones being put down?

I'd bring her so she has a chance to see the body after and can accept that she's gone.

    Alyssa's Bunny Blog!

I feel like it's been too long since I've updated! It's been pretty chaotic lately with work, school, Homecoming, and making sure I'm setting aside time to give the bunnies attention daily. Bugs and Evie's half birthday is later this month and I think I might order them some new toys. I've been...

    Talking with your bunny

Bugs definitely gets what I'm saying, he just doesn't care usually. He knows many different words like snack, treat, pepper, lettuce (this is what my sisters refer to their salads as), kisses, hay, yes, no, move, stop, naughty, ow, among other things. He also knows when it's time for breakfast...

Is it possible she has fleas or mites?

Why is it so hard prioritizing on what to spend

My monthly income is around $250-$300 a month. I try to keep at least $100 in my account at all times. I put around $20-$50 in a jar for vet funds a month depending on how much I can spare. Veggies are about $50 a month, litter is around $20 every 6 weeks and hay is $30 every 4-8 weeks, along...

My rabbit is not moving or eating

I put critical care on their paws. They don't want their paws dirty so they'll lick it off. I hope he pulls through.

    Hello, I’m a total newbie

    Because he's inside, I wouldn't worry too much :)

    Hello, I’m a total newbie

Fellow Iowan here... I don't think a heating pad is necessary. Is your bun inside or outside? As said above, bunnies can tolerate the cold better than the heat. Wind and humidity are the things you have to watch out for.

    Hello, I’m a total newbie

I'd stay away from a leash. Too many risks imo. If you want to take him out, there are great pet strollers. I have yet to actually try one because right when I get the money something comes up. On another note, welcome to the forum!

Anyone else's bunny do this? *face palm*

They seem to understand that we don't want them in their hay racks but whether they actually care about what we want is a completley different question. That being said, I tried around 10 different hay rack designs and Bugs would sit in every single one of them. I tried cardboard, plastic...

    Meet Lumina the diva bun

I stuff paper bags full of hay, tie them with sisal string and cut it down the side to encourage them to rip it open. These bags are a big hit with all three of my bunnies. I get both the bags and the sisal string at the dollar tree.

Can a rabbit be fed adult pellets before 6 months old?

I'll transition him to the adult pellets. Thank you both!

    Natural bunny deworming

I believe you can see worms in their poop.

Can a rabbit be fed adult pellets before 6 months old?

I have a 4-5 month old rabbit I took in almost a month ago and I just realized that I'm running low on his alfalfa pellets. I have just enough left of his pellets to transition him over to Bugs and Evie's adult pellets because I have a ton of theirs. Money is tight now and I don't see the point...

Nala's tell-all blog! Quad-bonding and more! Nala, Alice, Harley Quinn and Barnaby (aka Big Bunny).

You did post in that thread and I don't know why I didn't get to know you before now. Rereading that thread makes me sad. I can't believe the thoughts I used to have. I wish I kept that journal from then, it would be interesting to read through that. Some grandmother. She truly did act like a...

What’s your bunny’s favorite “people food”?

I'd like to add to what @Bunny_Mommy said: these things shouldn't be fed intentionally, although we all know things do happen. Just because Bugs/your buns haven't gotten sick yet doesn't mean they won't. Try to keep food out of reach :)

What’s your bunny’s favorite “people food”?

Oh gosh, anything edible is Bugs's favorite. If I walk into my room with anything in my hand he freaks out until I show him what it is. If I carry my phone differently, he'll chase me until he realizes it's not food. He likes to get into food no matter where I leave it and will run to our mini...
