What do your bunnies daily veggies look like?

@Butterscotch I have nothing better to do so I'm going to make you a list! I didn't include veggies I've never heard of but if you want a more extensive list do let me know. All veggies in the first part of the list are "best" but where I'm from, it's cheaper for a bundle of cilantro than is for...

    Is this normal?

I actually experienced the same thing recently. See here. To prevent this from happening again, you can try putting the pellets in a treat ball or scatter feeding them.

What do your bunnies daily veggies look like?

I didn't even think to include photos! This week their salads include romaine, red leaf, green leaf, spring mix (introduced last week and is one of my new favorites), cilantro, and bell pepper. I might take the bell peppers out though because they're high in sugar and my bunnies are a bit on...

    Hello, I’m a total newbie

Wow, you've been all over! I've lived in Iowa my whole life and the same house for 10 years. Coralville is beautiful! I'll be there tomorrow actually surrendering a bun. That's where the co-owner of the rescue is from. If you ever decide to get Dortmund a girlfriend you'll have lots of buns to...

Why is my rabbit digging at me and biting my clothes

My rabbit does the same thing and he usually does it to tell me to move or his way of getting my attention. He digs at legs whenever someone walks into my room because he wants out into the living room and we're in the way. He also does it when he wants something. If I'm eating something and he...

    Nala-bunny's wall-of-shame (please contribute!)

Because nobody else is sharing their pictures I'm going to keep sharing mine if that's okay with you. Not only does Bugs chew up the boxes but he pushes the cardboard and hay mess out of the box just because he likes to push my buttons. I've never tried giving the bunnies a phone book! Thanks...

    Hello, I’m a total newbie

I'm curious about what part of Iowa you're from. I'm from Northeast Iowa. Iowa's rabbit rescue (A Home For Everybunny) has events occasionally and if you and Dortmund are interested in any of that stuff, it may be a good idea to check out an event or two and meet some more rabbit people :) I...

    New bunny need advice

First of all, welcome to the forum! Bunnies prefer their cages because that's their space. They feel safest in there and because you haven't had your bun that long, he'll get more comfortable with time. I wouldn't worry too much. You can try to coax him out with his food (stay away from treats...

Is there a way to make your rabbit less freaked when you hold him?

During my first 4-5 months of rabbit ownership I didn't pick my bun up once. I feel like some Youtubers tell us that if we pick our bunnies up we're going to break their spines. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely a possibility but not nowhere near as common as I thought it was. The first time...

    Nala-bunny's wall-of-shame (please contribute!)

I don't have anything great or really funny but I'll share the ones I do have. I'll get some of our other pets later for sure. Evie doesn't really do anything bad but Bugs is certainly unique :) Oh and I edited them from my Snapchat because that's the easiest way I could think of.

What do your bunnies daily veggies look like?

I like to feed a variety so I have introduced many different veggies to them. They get red leaf, green leaf, romaine, cilantro, parsley, kale, collard greens, spinach, bell pepper, bok choy, spring mix, broccoli, celery, carrots, and many other veggies I'm forgetting about. The ones in italics...

REPOST: Bunny Bonding Woes -- HELP

I've been following this thread since it was started but I thought I'd butt in and share my thoughts especially because I see a lot of my bunnies in yours. For starters, I've attempted to bond my male with two different females and neither bond worked out. Being around other bunnies makes him...

New rabbit is coming home tomorrow need some advice

The first step would be to get her spayed. After a month of healing, they can be introduced in a neutral area with supervision. This space should be a small area such as a laundry basket, milk crate, etc. This is where you'll probably be able to decide how the rest of the process will be done by...

Nala's tell-all blog! Quad-bonding and more! Nala, Alice, Harley Quinn and Barnaby (aka Big Bunny).

I've spent the last 5 minutes reading that first bit over and over again. You have a daughter?! I'm curious to know the story because I swear you've said you don't have kids. I'm so confused, lol. You obviously don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. There's probably a reason you...

bunny digging at other bunny after spay?

I read that digging on another rabbit is their way of asking to mate. My unbonded, fixed rabbits will spend all day long digging at the bars of their pens trying to get each other's attention. Maybe that's what you're seeing?

What can I do to help my rabbits when they choke on pellets?

My rabbits get their pellets scatter fed or put into a treat ball but as I was putting the pellets in the balls for the morning Bugs came up and started eating the pellets from the container. This doesn't bother me because it's too much of a hassle to keep him off my bed while I'm doing this for...

    Butterscotch and Goose's Bunny Blog

No pain meds seem odd to me. When Bugs was neutered he got enough meds for a whole week. I felt that after the first day or two he really didn't need them though. Does she seem to be in pain still? If you don't mind me asking, I'd like to know the name of your vet because I'd like to skim over...
