    Never has my *bunny* ever

Nope, they haven't! For some reason, they're very well behaved when it comes to their chomping habits. ;) Never has my bunny ever licked me. (I had a bunny once who was very affectionate with his licks, but with these ones, the bunny-human grooming is awfully one-sided! 😕 Maybe they are just...

    Weepy Eye - Help!!

Hi everyone. I'd also like to know how urgent/serious something like this is. My rabbit had weepy eyes a couple weeks ago, but they've cleared up; now I think she has a slightly wet nose, though. I'm planning on taking her to the vet for a checkup anyway sometime soon (next week or the week...

Methods to contain hay (allergies!) - hooded litter box?

Hey, I just had a quick thought. How is meadow hay for rabbits nutrition-wise? I know they like to eat it and roll around in it. Right now, my rabbits eat mostly timothy hay and a some meadow hay; would I be able to transition them onto just meadow hay, or would that not be healthy/nutritious...

Can mice/rodents spread disease to rabbits?

Okay, great. That's kind of what I figured, but just wanted to make sure. Thank you!

Neutering with no pain relives med or antibiotics??????

That's great to hear. Good luck with the rest of his recovery. :)

Can mice/rodents spread disease to rabbits?

Hello everyone. We're coming into winter, and recently I found a few mice in the laundry room, where I store the bunnies' hay and pellets. The little family of three seemed to be living in the big box of meadow hay (other hays are sealed tight, safe), and they also ate their way into the...

Neutering with no pain relives med or antibiotics??????

Crazy to hear about your one bunny, JBun, not eating from nausea. I didn't know nausea could cause bunnies to stop eating! 😮

Neutering with no pain relives med or antibiotics??????

I do not think you can give rabbits human pain medicine, unless you really know what you're doing--I imagine that could be dangerous and may not help. (But maybe someone here can offer better advice as to that.) Yes, you could keep syringe feeding him and see how he is by morning. As long as...

MY RABBIT ISNT ACTING NORMAL!!! (RIP)

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. 😢

Neutering with no pain relives med or antibiotics??????

When I had my rabbit neutered, the doctor gave me one extra dose of pain relief to give him if he got sore later (no antibiotics, cream or otherwise). He didn't need it at all; was bouncing around again in about a day. I think for neuters the recovery is quite fast (spays are much more painful)...

MY RABBIT ISNT ACTING NORMAL!!! (RIP)

I am not sure if this is the right advice in this case (would be good for someone with more experience to confirm), but you could try feeding her some critical care (or mixing pellets with water to create your own mushy food) through a syringe so she doesn't go the whole night without eating--it...

    Bonding and spaying (question)

I went back to the hallway, and they re-acclimated to each other immediately. Did that for a few days just to make sure they were all right. Today I've put them back in the living room again, but with the sides covered. Drusilla (black otter) is very happy now that she can't see out! Onyx...

MY RABBIT ISNT ACTING NORMAL!!! (RIP)

Hallo. I wonder if it could be something like head tilt: Head tilt in a rabbit. Either way, probably best to take her to the vet immediately--especially if she isn't moving. Is she still eating/drinking/pooping? Sorry to hear about this, and maybe someone with more experience will reply...

    We're new here! Hello!

He looks like an adorable, happy bunny! Especially snuggly on that fluffy grey thing. :)

    Bonding and spaying (question)

Okay, thank you! If her eye doesn't start to look a little better soon, I'll have to take her to the vet.

    multiple tumors in many rabbits

I'm not too sure of your specific situation, but risk of ovarian cancer and related tumours/illness is pretty high for unspayed female rabbits. If you spayed your female rabbits, it might dramatically decrease the likelihood of them developing tumours, cysts, and the like (unless there is...

    Bonding and spaying (question)

Well... Everything was going really well, but then on Thursday we moved them to the next bigger space. They've already been through three stages of different "sized" spaces, all with no issue, so this was the fourth. To do this, we had to move them from the hallway where we'd been bonding them...
