    Mayday Mayday! Its Spay Day...

Lovely set up for her! My girl is usually free roam and I know when she is less drugged up, she will be very upset she’s locked in an pen. What a little trooper tho, she hops up on her bed, realizes she has to pee, goes to her little box and falls asleep in there for a while. No interest in...

    Mayday Mayday! Its Spay Day...

Update for you @AVIE ! They just called saying the surgery went great and she just started to slowly wake up. She's already eating a little bit of hay and I will go to pick her up in a half hour.

    Honking vs. Grunting??

She's been very grumpy and needy lately. She attacked my mom yesterday just for walking into the (her) room. She'll usually hop up and request head rubs but according to my mama she lunged at her and also hissed. Not to mention the fact that she hissed at me for the first time while I was trying...

    Honking vs. Grunting??

In the last couple of weeks, my bunny began to honk a bit, or so I thought. She began honking whenever I would pick her up or accidentally touch her bum (if I touched her bum she would also spin in a circle like a ballerina). I've never owned a rabbit, and googling the noise it sounds exactly...

    Mayday Mayday! Its Spay Day...

The vets told me they would call when she's awake and up and about. I'm thinking of calling in an hour as well. It's been five hours since I dropped her off but not sure when the actual surgery took place. It's just after 1PM for reference.

Advice for getting a "boy-friend" for my rabbit.

Have you ever noticed your bond changing when you got a second bun? She's free roamed and chooses to sleep in the bed with me, waking me up with kisses when my alarm clock goes off. I usually spend some time giving her some love and I just thought how happy she is and if our bond would change if...

Advice for getting a "boy-friend" for my rabbit.

I saw!!! Yes they are super adorable, I also really like one of the girls they have with only one leg. Unfortunately I don't think I have the right household for her to live happily, especially since she can't be spayed and bonded to another bun.

    Mayday Mayday! Its Spay Day...

My girl just hit her cranky hormonal stage, I'm so happy to see her again once I pick her up. She already hates the carrier because she knows it means she's going in the car, but today she hissed at me for the first time ever when I tried to get her in. She sleeps in my bed with me (she's free...

Advice for getting a "boy-friend" for my rabbit.

I've also heard of these guys. I will email when my girl might be ready to be bonded to another rabbit. I'll talk to both and see which rescue might have bachelors that would suit Momo the best. Then hopefully despite COVID we can bring her in and let her speed date.

Advice for getting a "boy-friend" for my rabbit.

My girl is getting spayed on Dec 7th. When her hormones completely clear out of her body, my mom told me she would be open to me finding a boy bunny for her to live with. I've been checking the humane society and have a few rabbits in mind that I would want to take home. Our humane society has a...

7 month old bunny still not potty trained...please help

Neutering is definitely the first solution. My girl is getting spayed on Dec 7th. I couldn't allow her to go in my bed because she would pee all over it. It became a really big problem when she learned how to jump on by herself. What really helped is getting her a special blanket to smell like...

How can I help my rabbit gain weight? Is it possible for her to gain weight before her spay surgery?

Doing further research she looks like a havana mix? It's hard to say because she is pure black with a heart shaped pattern around her face (it's super cute but only apparent when you're looking up close). I included some pictures of her. The full body picture is from exactly one month ago. I...

Can I give young rabbit food (Alfalfa hay and young rabbit pellets) to the malnourished feral bunnies around my city?

Yes :) When I brought her to the vet after I found her, she had a few diagnostics ran including a urine test, fecal test, and a test for the nose discharge she had. No parasites surprisingly but I had to give her antibiotics for some bacteria they found in her stomach and probiotics for yeasty...

This is awesome thank you!!! I'm going to purchase Sherwood for her adult pellets.

What are the difference between the adult Oxbow pellets? And which are the best for my bun?

So seems like the Garden Select is better? I really don't mind spending the few extra dollars but it wasn't clear to me what's better between the two.

Can I give young rabbit food (Alfalfa hay and young rabbit pellets) to the malnourished feral bunnies around my city?

Gosh I know... I just feel awful seeing the babies starve to death, especially since that was the fate my bunny had, and she's the sweetest rabbit I've ever encountered. After rescuing my bun I definitely considered keeping hay in my car if I ever encountered some, but I guess it's for the best...

What are the difference between the adult Oxbow pellets? And which are the best for my bun?

Looking for the differences between the pellets. And not just, "this has these ingredients... and this has this much fat". I mean more like which pellets would suit what activity levels, weights, etc. Primarily looking for the difference between the Adult Essentials and the Garden Select, and...

How can I help my rabbit gain weight? Is it possible for her to gain weight before her spay surgery?

I've had my rescue bun for about two months now. She will be estimated 6mo at the beginning of december. She was a feral/abandoned rabbit that I found beside a parking lot. She was really thin when I first got her so in addition to all her medicine, I was feeding her critical care to get some...

Can I give young rabbit food (Alfalfa hay and young rabbit pellets) to the malnourished feral bunnies around my city?

Backstory: My city has a really bad feral rabbit problem. In select areas, you can find dozens of feral rabbits. I guess a few years ago some people released their pet rabbits and over time, a lot of colonies have popped up with the cutest little rabbits. My first rabbit was one of those. I...

Bunny will not eat anything except for alfalfa

No she will eat all parts of the alfalfa. She does the biting thing because of the smell. She was very interested in the botanical hay and once she realize it was timothy she wouldn't actually eat it, she won't touch it anymore. To move the hay out of her way to get the alfalfa and pellets...
