    Rabbits bonding instead of breeding?

I am trying to breed my 4 year old holland lop doe (this will be her last litter) to my 7 month old holland lop buck (this will be his first litter). But they won’t breed? They are acting like newly bonded rabbits (grooming, mounting each other, laying there together) but not breeding. My little...

If my bunny licks a little stuffed plushie cow, does that mean he loves it?

One of our rescue buns does that. He has a little stuffed dog that he loved to death. He even moves it to his food and water so it can get so too! We thought he would like a real friend but he HATED all other bunnies

My baby bunny has red swolen genitals and soft poop

I think I know what it is! It might be mucosis enteritus. My very first litter of babies got it. It smelled terrible and after a while green mucus started coming out. The best chance u have is put probiotics in water and if she’s not drinking yet then syringe her some water. You will also need...

    Doe nesting early

Ok well, I’m hopeful. Her stomach is bigger today than ever more firm. She is eating some but she has been laying around her cage all day. Will her babies survive being born this early?

    Doe nesting early

I’m kind of new to rabbit breeding so I need some help with an early nesting doe. I have a 3 year old doe who I bred to our brand new, first time, buck. I tried to palpate her but she wouldn’t let me. She hasn’t been showing signs of pregnancy other than digging in her cage. Yesterday she was...

    Rabbit with bald spot. Help!!

We bred my holland lop doe about 3 weeks ago and lately she has gotten a bald spot on her head. Bald spots can be signs of false pregnancy but could it also be a sign of Nesting or a real pregnancy? Hair has started to grow back but it is very short. Should I be concerned? The skin isn’t flakey...

    Urine stain prevention and smell😷

Ok that’s good EC can take them really quick. Butt baths are all you can do honestly. A good option could be a wire raised litter box. That way she doesn’t get stuff stick to her but and it falls through the grate. I don’t know about the smell. Most rabbit urine shouldn’t smell super bad. You...

    I ran out of hay..

Hey, I don’t know what kind of rabbits you breed but you should think of breeding rabbits as a business. I’m 14 and I run my holland lop Rabbitry. I really do my best to provide everything but sometimes I need some of my parents help. The best advice I can give you is to try to really turn this...

    Cat toys with catnip?

in my experience, catnip isn’t worth it. Some rabbits don’t react well to it. 2 of my rabbits had a reaction to it and I had to rush them to a vet. Maybe it’s just them but I don’t know. Of course it’s up to you if you give your bunny catnip.

    Help with my doe?

I am fairly new to breeding and this is my second litter but I’m not sure the breeding took. This doe seeks to become nicer than usual and everything online says they become more territorial. Today is day 12 since we bred her and she won’t let me palpated her really well but her stomach is a bit...

Catnip is not safe for bunnies. It is highly toxic.

    Help with possibly pregnant rabbit?

I have a doe that I bred 2 days ago and I went to pet her today and she was very protective of her stomach which isn’t normal and her stomach was hard. I was wondering if the protectiveness and hard stomach were from babies of if it could be from wool block? She went through a shed a few weeks...

    Low calcium diet

One thing that I have learned is that some rabbits are more sensitive to calcium than others. I don’t think you did anything wrong just switch him over to regular pellets as soon as you can. :)

Help! Convincing Parents to Start a Rabbitry!

One thing to keep in mind is make sure that you really want to commit to this. There are a lot of very hard things that you have to do. I started breeding in November of 2019. This was a very expensive project to start. I don’t know what breed of rabbits you want to raise but I raise holland...
