    Babies!

What breed is she? Is she still acting weird? You might need to feel her stomach to make sure there no more babies. She was probably feeding the babies when she was jumping back in.

    Hello from VA!

Welcome! One of my rabbits had an active E. Cunniculi a few years back, it's defiantly scary. Wishing her best of luck!

After doe kindles… I have a few questions

I would check her stomach, make sure there are no more babies. She may be making a nest to sleep in. Sometimes there are no explanations for what a doe does 😂. Keep and eye on her and the babies, watch for any strange behavior.

After doe kindles… I have a few questions

Has she been in contact with another buck?

    Any budget friendly rabbit items?

I've never had a problem with cardboard besides my rabbits throwing it all over the place 😂

    Nesting Questions

She will reorganize the nest. My does build one and pull it apart several time before birth, but build it back a few hours before kindling. Best of luck!

    What is his breed?

Lionhead mix by looking at the fur around his neck. His ears are adorably long, so he probably has some other slightly bigger breed in him. Honestly though, we won't be able to tell you for sure, but a lionhead mix is the most probable with his fur texture and facial structure.

    Solo rabbit care on vacation

Your welcome! Yeah, it’s always a little scary leaving an animal as fragile as a rabbit with another person. Bunny might need a day or so after you get home to get used to you again but all in all, he should be perfectly fine.

    Solo rabbit care on vacation

I've left my bunnies home with a pet sitter for a few days (the longest being 10 days) before. They always do fine. I would recommended introducing your SIL to your bunny, and get them comfortable around each other. Just make sure your SIL understands his triggers, rabbit sicknesses, feed, care...

    Overweight newborn?

How adorable! That's a healthy kit right there!

    Any budget friendly rabbit items?

Baby stacking cups are great, they toss and play with them (you may to remove them when the bunny starts chewing on them. then add them back in a few weeks). Small cat balls, my bunnies love the ones with the bells in them (you just need to make sure the bell is still in there). Like...

    Overweight newborn?

Baby is fine 😆. I've never had a mama overfeed a baby. Singletons tend to be chunkier, because they don't have siblings to shove them away. If baby isn't making squeaks or seems uncomfortable, he's nice and healthy. I would love to see a photo is you can!

    Outdoor bunny cage and chickens?

I mixed baby chicks with my old bunny and he got ear mites not long after. I'm not sure what your backyard looks like, but maybe try moving bunny across your yard or closer to your house so the chickens can have that area (they needs lots of room haha). Good luck!

How do I manage untill Blue is old enough to be neutered?

I'm sorry no one's answered your thread, rimubird1! I have a father and son (they aren't altered nor live together) and they both have sky high hormones'. For dad when he was as young as 10 to 12 weeks, he started spraying on me and was (kind of still is now, he is currently a little over a...

New bunny owner, question on breeding

I just have to say they are SO CUTE. They defiantly all have Vienna genes. Those eyes are beautiful 😍

Throw your rabbit names at me!

I have Primrose (which is surprisingly popular for rabbits), Forrest (also common), Fern (you'll see another bunny named so every once in a while), Layke, Chia, Bluebell (also popular), Indigo and Alex (the only one of my rabbits not named after something from nature).

    Rabbit breeding behavior

For most first time females they don't want to breed. It's perfectly normal for her to acting that way. Although it is frustrating, believe me, I know. What always seems to work for me is putting the female with the male and if she isn't willing taking her out and checking her vent about 4 to 6...

New bunny owner, question on breeding

All of them are mixes. They probably do have Netherland Dwarf in them though. From Moonshadow's response, they do look like they could be mixed with the Dutch breed. The grey one's color is called Chinchilla the white implies that she/he has the Vienna gene (blue eyed gene) does he/she have...

    Pure Chamgagne had white babies!?

I don't know much about the breed, maybe it has something to do with your rabbits linage? Do they have any other breeds in their pedigree (if they have one)? All I can think of is that or maybe some times in this breed a silver instead of black kit is born. Whatever it is, it's genetic and if I...
