    Irrational (or rational...) fears

When I was a new bun dad, I had tons of rational and irrational fears. Too many to list. I've calmed down a bit now. I can (usually) go a full day at work without checking on their live video feed... I guess my biggest fear is having to go away for a long time (military) and having to...

    Fostering

When I've had to give medications, I have to convince myself the good of the medicine is greater than the stress of giving it. I just make it as quick as possible. Good luck to you and Lady! Glad to hear she's doing better! ☺ ☺ ☺

Need advice on keeping rabbits in my room

When I started out, I had not money or knowledge to take care of Lawrence. His dish was one of my bowls, and his litter box was a cookie sheet with hay on it. As time went on, and I gained more knowledge, I got him more appropriate stuff, such as a custom built litter tray, and flip-proof...

How to cool down a bunny in hot weather?

Yasss! A trick I used was to go to Lowe's or Home Depot or Menards, or whatever your local hardware/home store is and ask if they have any broken or damaged stone such as flooring tile, stone countertop remnants, etc. They generally can't sell them and regard them as trash, so a lot of times...

    favorite treats?

Both my boys definitely know their names.... although they choose when they mind me! Lawrence also knows "look" because I will use it to tell him to "look here for a treat"! He will stop what he's doing and run over if I say look! They also know what "night night" means, because they get a...

    favorite treats?

I have one bun who likes Oxbow Digestive Support treats and any kind of banana, fresh or dehydrated, but if he eats too much, it upsets his stomach. My other one loves any and all treats EXCEPT banana! He gets little bits of Oxbow Simple Rewards treats and the occasional oats and dehydrated...

THERE'S A NEW RUM BUNS IN TOWN...

Oh she's beautiful! 😍 😍 😍 She has wonderful big ears!! She sounds like my boy Lucas! Ever since he was at the rescue, he had a cat jingle ball he loved to make noise with! He still has it, and although he doesn't use it for attention as much since coming home (he gets all the attention he can...

    Long Car Ride Suggestions

When Lawrence was neutered,, the closest vet I could find that I was comfortable with was about 3 1/2 hours. He did the ride in his carrier just fine. I took breaks on the ride down there, to try and get him to relax and eat and drink, but he wasn't interested. He didn't *like* the trip, but...

    Litter box training

I'll just throw this out there: maybe consider searching for places to adopt near you? Rabbits are pretty easily litter box trained, and many of the adoptable rabbits will already be trained! Plus, you're giving some poor soul another chance!

Anyone resigned to their white buns never having clean white feet?

I feel like I just got hardcore flame-judged for what I consider "dirty feet". I'm posing a pic of Lawrence's feet in my defense! 😂 😂 😂 Just want to be clear on what I consider "dirty". By no means is he (or Lucas) unsanitary. No urine staining or anything, just what I'd consider a normal...

    Buns favorite toy/ toys

Lawrence didn't seem interested in hay either, but he would play with a hay toy. I think his increased hay intake is partially due to us making a game out of eating hay... Might be worth a shot?

Anyone resigned to their white buns never having clean white feet?

Yeah, Lawrence has perpetually dirty white feet, even though he lives indoors. I've never worried about it. Heck, my feet get pretty dirty just walking around barefoot.

    Buns favorite toy/ toys

I've bought bunny toys, but my boys still prefer the hours of enjoyment gained from a toilet paper tube stuffed (tight) with hay. It involves eating, their favorite thing, and is light enough for them to toss around. Bonus for me, it costs next to nothing! 😂 😂 😂

    question about panic attacks

It's hard to say. @JBun covered the "things we can't perceive" argument. When my boy Lucas first came home, he was prone to bouts of panic. He would run circles in his pen, literally running along the walls! I was frightened when it would happen, as I could never find a reason he was doing...

    Rabbit acting weird…

When I first got my boy Lucas, he went through a few bouts of stomach upset. I say stomach upset and not GI stasis, as the boys live inside with me, and I notice pretty much immediately when they're off. I stayed up massaging and giving simethicone and pain meds several times. Since then I...
