    Bagged lettuce!

I've been feeding mine bagged organic salad mix for their whole lives. The bag claims its washed and ready to eat, and based on how quickly it goes bad, I can't imagine they're using any kind of preservatives. Not that it goes bad quickly, but about as quickly as you'd expect salad to go bad.

So sorry for your loss. Like you said, forever would not be long enough, but her three years she shared with you were happy and safe! ☺ ☺ ☺ Binky free, Mrs. Brown!!

    Meet Dr. Cheese!

They tend to be very judgey in an in-your-face kind of way (flaming), and there's lots of talk about how everything you do that's not in line with their ideals will be the death of your rabbit. Experiences may vary. They are a great wealth of information, and I love what they're doing, I just...

    Meet Dr. Cheese!

These are the reasons I love these forums. HRS is great, but it's mostly flaming and death.

I want to bond two buns: 3yr neutered male, and 7mo female. Any help would be appreciated <3

Most likely. Humping is not *purely* sexual, it is also a dominance thing. And yes, wait until everybody is recovered from spays/neuters before bonding. If you do it before, there's no guarantee it will "translate" to after the spay!

My rabbit ate plastic bag please help!

I hate to say it, but even though I do my best my buns, Lawrence especially, will find things to eat that they probably should eat. Garbage bags, leather scraps, carpet, you name it. I've never had a problem with anything they've eaten, fingers crossed! Even when they eat "not food", they...

Yeah, I've noticed that my boys won't eat the healthy stuff when I'm still around, as they know I have the ability to give them treats.

Wow! Good to know! Where I'm at, blackberries are our weed of choice, and me being "weird nature guy" lets them grow (within reason). I've offered them blackberries in the past, and they did not want, but I need to try the leaves!

How do you tell how much to feed a rabbit?

Personally, I'd cut about half of the pellets you're feeding him. Rabbits are like the rest of us, and will eat the better tasting food before the healthy stuff! 😂 😂 And while pellets are hay-based, they really need to be eating mainly hay to keep their guts moving, and their teeth worn down...

    Different textured fur

What a handsome little man! 😍 😍 😍 What's his name? Yes, I would agree that he's probably starting his first molt. Lawrence was about that age when he did, and I thought something was wrong. The first one was the most extreme; his colors and everything seemed to change, but each one after...

You're right. Just make sure there's always fresh (unsoiled) hay available.

How do you tell how much to feed a rabbit?

Agreed. There's lots of opinions out there, but what they actually need is hay. Pellets help provide additional supplements, but should not really be considered the staple of your rabbit's diet. This may be handy, too. https://bunnylady.com/rabbit-diet/

    suddenly bad potty habits?

Sounds like Lawrence. I think as he's gotten older, he's gotten lazier about his pooping habits, because he knows I'll pick it up, and it won't collect... 😂 He also has started taking hay out of his litterbox to eat elsewhere. I assume to go somewhere more comfortable, like on the carpet! I...

I forgot she was pedigreed! That's pretty definite, but mistakes are made... just saying. Females can circle, nip and spray too!
