    Potty Training

So I don't mean to turn this into a thread about hay but we eye were just talking about buying a bale vs boxed - well I just got bale of compressed Timothy hay and it's way different. Did I get the wrong thing? Is compressed just different quality? This is what I'm used to Nice and green...

    Potty Training

I read through your litter training tips on your website and I love it! I didn't know they prefer to pee on any soft surfaces. So my buns are still young and have to be in their hutches quite a bit because my kids will harrass them. I feel bad not giving them any blankets or something soft to...

    Potty Training

Rabbits like to pick through hay and find whichever choice pieces they deem worthy. ;) They won't eat soiled hay. Wasted hay should be expected. Always. But if it is purchased in bulk (by the bale or half-bale) then it is soooo cheap that wasted hay won't matter. (An $18 bale of hay can last 2...

    Potty Training

I have a question about this. I find I'm wasting a lot of hay because of urine soaking the bottom half before it's eaten, so I got hay feeders to hang right above their boxes so they can still eat and potty in the same place. Does anyone like this method? What do you use to line the box instead...

    Help identifying

I don't think anyone was insulting your intelligence just expressing concern over the potential for rabbit overpopulation 😊 It's sweet that your area likes to care for these bunnies, but the kinder thing to do for them would be to call a rescue that can capture and rehome them. As mentioned...

    Brand New Kits

Newborns made it through the night! I don't know why I was so worried about this but I was terrified something terrible world happen in the night. But I checked on each one and they have full bellies and are nice and wiggly 😁 Older babies are doing great, active and eating well! Thanks everyone ❤

    Brand New Kits

Well this is good to know. I didn't even want to separate them from mom let alone each other! I'll keep them together at least 8-9 weeks then! I've already been giving mom unlimited access to hay, pellets and water so I'll just make sure to keep that up. She gets a good helping of fresh greens...

    Brand New Kits

Oh I had another question, will weaning the babies off this early hurt their gut health? I read they need to nurse up to 6 weeks for the correct ph balance? Is there something I can do to help? They're eating pellets, hay and drinking water all really well! Also, if they're weaned should I find...

    Brand New Kits

Thank you for the good advice, and for being kind! 🥰 I'm sad to already separate the 4 week old babies but figured that'd be best. Here are some pictures of my sweet 4 week olds - Fluff, Dot and Bugs. And then a few of the newborns - all bald and wonderful 😅

    Brand New Kits

Ok I have a problem. I know I'll probably catch a lot of judgement for this but the health of these babies is more important than my pride. So my bunnies had babies about a month ago which was a surprise for us because we were told they were both girls/sisters. Well we separated them immediately...

    Can you bond after mating?

Thank you for your response! I'm so happy to have somewhere to talk about all my bunny questions that feel too unique or specific to find elsewhere. I didn't realize the overpopulation problem of rabbits and wouldn't want to add to it. I have a lot of homesteader friends that were interested...

    Can you bond after mating?

So I have a very specific situation that I need some advice on, I hope this is a relevant thread to be asking. So I got two Holland lops back in August, the breeder told me they were both girls - sisters. Well I noticed nest making behaviour a few weeks ago and upon inspecting my grey lop...
