    English Spot/Checkered Giant?

I could definitely see checkered giant with those huge ears. I also wouldn’t rule out the broken New Zealand as their max weight is 12lbs so they can be pretty big as well and are more common I would say depending on your area

Can someone help me confirm my rabbit gender

I think we would be able to tell but the photos are just not clear. At 11weeks old we should be able to clearly tell ***. At 6-8 weeks I can start sexing and then I double check at 12 weeks. If you can try taking more photos with more direct lighting all of the photos posted the genitals are in...

Can someone help me confirm my rabbit gender

I don’t know if it may just be me but I can’t tell by the photos. The only one I can maybe tell is the middle rabbit looks like a boy? I think it may be because there’s no direct light try taking the photos outside in sunlight if no one else can see

Peter Rabbit - What is he?

I am going to disagree with Californian as he doesn’t have the correct coloring which is a white rabbit with black points and red eyes. He looks to be a mature buck (with that big blocky head) so he is probably full grown and his proper weight seems like it should be around 6-7lbs or so...

Briar losing weight-vet says possible Coccidia? I'm worried about my girl

Did the vet do a fecal exam while you were at the vet to diagnose coccidia? If not I would ask them to perform one. You should be able to take a fresh stool sample to the vet to have them test it. The treatment for coccidia should be Albon (I have had to treat for coccidia before) As far as if...

    Breeding

How far overdue? If it’s been longer than 35 days and you were absolutely positive she was pregnant I would suggest taking her to a vet for xrays

    Newborn bunnies fur

This fur pattern is actually very charicteristic for a Lionhead rabbit and is completely normal as long as the parents are lionheads or lionhead mixes I spoke too soon before the photos loaded. I’m not too sure about the missing fur on the face let me do some research

    Thoughts on These Rabbits

Well it sounds like she is good place to get dwarfs from and you should be fine. I don’t see anything wrong with the rabbits in the photos and it shouldn’t matter too much if there are small faults as you are not breeding for show quality animals. Overall they look like healthy...

9 week old Holland Lop Diet?

You can use an alfalfa pellet while she is a baby and growing. This will help her bones develop. I've heard that if you give alfalfa pellets you don't want to give alfalfa hay as well. I would stick with the alfalfa pellets and do another type of hay as alfalfa can be very hard to wean from a...

    Thoughts on These Rabbits

Oh I forgot to mention. Im sure you already know since you breed is to ask about breeding history for does and bucks if they are of the age. I went to a discussion about Breeding at an American Rabbit Breeders Association Convention once and they talked about how netherland dwarfs have a bad rap...

    Thoughts on These Rabbits

from just seeing the photos I cannot see anything structurally wrong with the animals. Netherland dwarfs are NOTORIOUS for teeth issues also known as malocclusion. Be sure to ask you breeder if she has ever had any issues with it in her older rabbits. A good thing to do when you are at a...

    Thoughts on These Rabbits

I am not going to comment at all on Aki’s statements except that the rabbits look very well fed not diseased and in good health from the photos and that the way Breeders raise rabbits is much different than how a pet home would raise a single rabbit. At any rate I need some background...

    Holland Lop vs. Mini Lop

I would probably say holland. He actually looks a lot like the baby holland I hadn’t posted above. You will definitely be able to know when he is at adult weight which is normally 6-8months for small breeds. Show max weight for Holland: 4lbs Show max weight for Mini: 6lbs

Tips on hold to get my bun ok with bring held??

You have to be confident when picking him up. Training with treats is a good way to build his trust but it takes a lot of patience. Covering a rabbits eyes when they feel scared is a good way to calm them down. Using a towel or a long sleeved shirt is highly recommended

    Expert breeders..need some advice

You can only try the next days if you need to. If it's been past the day after then wait 31-35 days for your doe to give birth if she will. Then after that you can try breeding again.

    Breeding question

I personally wouldn't. For future advice when breeding let him perform once you can leave them together as long as they are not fighting and he will or should try again in about 10 minutes or so this can be decreased or increased depending on the buck. I usually let them breed three to four...

Which rabbit color is recessive against others?

Apologies it is recessive. But "because two “cc” genes together negate whatever the other four genes are contributing to the rabbit’s coat color. All color is erased from the fur and eyes." http://www.thenaturetrail.com/rabbit-genetics/color-c-series-chinchilla-sable-himalayan-rew/ And I...

Which rabbit color is recessive against others?

Oh also a red eyed white rabbit does not have a recessive property. They actually hide color genetics but are useful in helping to determine color genetics of other rabbits as long as you know what color the Red eyed rabbit actually is carrying.
