What color is my bunny ?

I’m honestly not sure and stumped. You may be able to get a better idea once the bun is older. It really helps when they are mature because you can tell body type, head shape, and full grown weight. All of these can help determine breed but understand that with mixed breeds the variation in a...

    Mini, Holland, or French?

Do you know how much he weighs? It would be really nice to have a side view photo. If he is not over 8-9lbs at 11mos then he is not a French lop. His weight is going to be the main tale tell sign of breed. Like said earlier Holland’s are smaller and minis are twice a Holland’s size

    Babies

I actually made this video with a bunch of different breeds that come in the broken variety that people mistake for English spots. Maybe take a look here and you might find one that looks similar.

    Babies

The mom is not an English Spot All are very cute though

What color is my bunny ?

JimJam She is not a full bred mini rex. As far as breed it is very difficult to tell exactly what breed she is as most people do backyard breeding of rabbits and do not keep track of breeds. I agree that her color is broken fawn/orange She doesn’t have any one breed characteristics so there’s...

Are these Lops Show able colors

The Charlie is basically a low pattern broken and is not showable. Brokens are required to have at least 10% markings on the body to be showable Black torts are showable

We Need More Bunny Vets! Please Sign and Share!

I like this idea. Speaking from personal experience at my school we only get one course in a special species class. This goes through the most popular exotics and we get taught it in our second year I believe. Luckily my school has a Zoo Exotics and Wildlife club that I can get more experience...

    Question about my rabbits breed

The female looks definite like a Dutch. I could also definitely see a poorly marked Dutch for the male as well. You could even just say Dutch mix for him and you’d be fine saying that

    Netherlands dwarf offspring

Because of dads color this baby might not be shaded. I wonder if it’s a blue chin ?

    Netherlands dwarf offspring

Shaded baby could be smoke pearl. If it’s more tan with points it’s sable point if it’s more blue/gray then it’s probably a smoke pearl

Not sure what breed my two babies are

Neither have really identifying features. If you think lop maybe mini lop mixes. The weights would be right as mini lops max at 6.5lbs. I think that’s really the only breed I would suggest at least for your girl.

    Colours of my baby rabbits...?

I would say 3 chestnut agoutis and 1 sable point. 2 of the chestnuts look Vienna Marked

    Second guessing breed?

Just from the photos those buns look about 10-15lbs but Flemish should be 20+
  15. woahlookitsme

    What breed

Mixed is what I would say as well. It’s hard to tell breed characteristics on young rabbits. Are all of these guys related?

First time bunny owner with questions for the experienced. Pix!

Yea his ears are big but not Flemish baby big they’re in the right proportion to his head. His age throws me off because he looks like he already has a matured buck head. I’m not sure what to make of his age

First time bunny owner with questions for the experienced. Pix!

New Zealand’s are typically about 70days and 5lbs at their shows. He looks older than 2 mos but honestly it’s hard to tell the age of rabbits. I would say maybe he’ll max at about 8-10pounds? As far as breed he looks like just a mix. His color is called Vienna Marked Chestnut...

    Second guessing breed?

Did the breeder say how old the parents were? In those photos the parents look like they may be Flemish but young ones possibly? If they’re full grown then I would say those are probably mixed bunnies unless she has pedigrees to prove otherwise.
