    Breeding Rabbits as pets?

From experience I wouldn’t. Why would you want to if you like her just the way she is. Carrying and giving birth are very hard things on the body. Also not to mention what hormones can do to a female rabbit. Since she is a year she may stay sweet and be a great mom or she could be super...

    Breeding Problem

Your female sounds like she isn’t ready. It might be best to not house them together 24/7 and separate them. Wait at least a few days after they are separated and then try again? My preference would be wait until your doe is at least 7-8 months of age but it’s not necessary. Larger breeds take...

Don't know when kits are due :(

When you see fur in her nest that was usually my sign that babies were there. You should have the box to where you can easily see the inside. I would check if there’s hair and if there was you only have to stand there and watch for a few minutes and you’ll see the nest moving. You do need to...

    Pregnant Bunny?

Is she a small breed or larger? If she is a small breed then it is possible but I don’t know if I would say likely. If you just felt one or two balls it could have been her kidneys you are feeling. I agree with above to try your hardest and block her access. If you have another cage farther...

    Possible bunny offspring?

Yea that sounds about right or it could just be a false pregnancy you never know It’s not just you though I’ve heard of rabbits being found in other rabbits cages before it’s a mystery but it does happen. I wish all goes well if she does have babies

    Breed of my bunn?

I think he still looks like a polish or polish mix lol. When people are breeding to sell to pet stores they probably aren’t going to have rabbits that will win a show so they may not be exactly the same size as a show bunny. My mom had one REW polish who was a pretty big girl herself. Whatever...

Can someone tell me what type (coloring) rex I have?

That sounds right :) “The body should have a slate blue undercolor next to the skin, followed by a crisp clean intermediate band of bright rich orange. The surface of the coat is to be bright rufus orange interspersed with black. The head, outside of ears, back, hindquarters, side of body...

Can someone tell me what type (coloring) rex I have?

Mini Rex looks full bred to me and coloring is Castor (in other breeds it is called Chestnut Agouti)

    What breed is my rabbit?

Definitely need better photos and a weight. Your rabbit could be many different breeds but there’s no way to tell which one with just one photo

    Rabbit coloring??

Yep definitely a chestnut Agouti. He will stay mostly the same color as he ages. My chestnut Agouti rocky would molt and change colors all the time. They get literally tan lines where there is new and old hair growth. That’s about all the changes your bun will go through

    What makes the harlequin coloring?

Harlequin is a solid color and tri is the broken variety of harlequin. I know it is a specific allele/Gene but that’s about all I know

    What breed is my bunny?

My first guess is a lion head or a lion head mix. She is definitely going to be a fluffier bunny. She is so cute!!

    Breeding Holland Lops

I agree with all of the above except that you have a 50/50 shot for broken babies. Only one parent has to be broken in order to get broken babies. It’s actually more recommended to breed a broken and solid as you have a higher chance of getting a charlie marked broken when you breed two brokens...

    HELP, kits are dying

Are you using the same male and female breeding lines/rabbits for these buns? If so I would suggest getting a new buck and or doe especially since this happened to the first doe Apart from that how old is the doe and is this her first litter? It sounds like she took good care of them if they...

    NZ/California Cross

In a litter you can always have runts. Sadly they usually pass before they are weaned but just be cautious because sometimes there’s just something wrong and they never end up thriving and end up passing after a couple of months of age. Saying that though we have had some that do really well and...

    Sexing

Don’t use scissors to trim any hair please you can easily cut the babies especially since they are so wiggly. You should be able to tell now but only if you have experience. Even I made mistakes when they were that age. You don’t use a sack of skin to tell. You have to push on their genitals. If...

    Chances of a maned baby?

The babies probably wouldn’t have lopped ears some may have what we call airplane ears where they stick out to the side. They may have little tufts of fur but it’s hard to tell because the mom is a lion head mix.

    NZ/California Cross

At 8-10weeks they should be at least 3lbs if they are bred for meat. Cals and New Zealand’s are some of the fastest growing rabbits but that also depends on the line that the breeder used. Breeders use a fast growing line because people show a meat pen at 70days old and the babies should already...

    Babies and untrustworthy mom

I would remove her when they are around 8weeks. I wouldn’t do now because mom still needs to teach them rabbit things like how to eat their own cecotrophs. The best way we found was just to leave the babies in the cage they are in and just take mom out. We would keep the entire litter together...
