new rabbit acting depressed (sorry if wrong thread im new to this)

Also, how old is the bunny approx? I'll echo what @Preitler said, it'll be best to get in touch with a wildlife rehabilitator and let them take the bunny. I'd stick to grass, weeds, flowers, anything and everything (within reason) that was near the nest. Depending of the age of the bunny, it may...

♡Books about rabbits. Fact or fiction♡

My favs: - Watership down - the stories of peter rabbit (this is a kids book, but i used to love it lmao) I found a premade list by the HRS, so that'll probably be easiest https://rabbit.org/recommended-reading-fiction/

    Rabbit ate a Golden Pothos

I'm glad he's eating and behaving normally :) However, I do also agree with @Catlyn . I totally understand your reasons for feeling a need for the collar, but I personally, don't think bunnies really need it, especially when roaming in their homes and when outside, harnesses are safest. Our...

    Rabbit ate a Golden Pothos

Some symptoms of stasis are refusing food, not eating, stomach pressing and not wanting to move. If you catch it early and quickly, you can give 1ml of simethicone/baby gas drops/colic relief every hour for three hours along with stomach massages. Here is a video tutorial on how to do stomach...

    Rabbit ate a Golden Pothos

He should be okay. It looks like a teeny tiny piece. According to a few other forums, it can potentially cause GI issues and mouth irritation, however, most of the time, rabbits can eat things that they shouldn't and show no symptoms. As Watermelons said, hay and water are best. Keep topping...

    Looking for enrichment advice

My bunny doesn't play with toys either (might be because he's getting old and grumpy). However, if I include food to absolutely anything of his, he will go crazy. I definitely recommend a forage/snuffle mat. A dig box and/or forage box is also a good idea. For a dig box, fill a large tote box...

    My rabbit mutilated my bird

I'm so sorry about your budgie, that is honesty so heartbreaking to hear. As JBun said, it is just natural instinct what your bun did, but I am so sorry that it happened and you had to witness it to a beloved friend, nonetheless. I hope you're doing okay, and maybe your bunny can help comfort you 💔

Post aesthetic rabbit set ups here!

And mine ;) I just had my room decorated - my fav colour is green but I love the pinks in your room!! Apollo doesn't really have a "set-up" in my room anymore, I decided that he should live in my room instead of me living in his room lmao

Rabbit ate tiny sliver magnum choc

They shouldn't eat dairy or anything like that, but generally, a small amount won't harm them. From what I've seen, bunnies get into a whole heap of things and are usually okay. I don't know how much could start to cause problems, as it varies per rabbit. But as a refrence, my bunny ate half a...

The rabbit who won’t be picked up - being spayed today.

Awe amazing! I’m glad it’s going good 🥰

Rabbit ate tiny sliver magnum choc

my rabbit has gotten into an abundance of things he shouldn’t get into (not endorsing it, but you know, it’s one of the problems with having house rabbits) - he tried to eat one of my cookies this evening. I was sitting right next to him and he didn’t get one. Make sure he’s eating hay and water...

what type of pellets should I buy for my rabbit?

Sherwood pellets are some of the best pellets I’ve seen - though I know that they are quite expensive. There are a few oxbow pellets that are good too (there are many different types though so be fire to check the ingredients) :)

Please help- can farm animals transmit anything to my rabbit?

I would wash my hands and/or shower and change clothes first before greeting your animals again, just to be sure :)

The rabbit who won’t be picked up - being spayed today.

hey! I’ll answer the questions in order x 1) it’s not likely to ruin your bond if you have a strong one 2) in this situation, syringe feeding isn’t an choice it just has to be done. I would put banana or apple on the end of the syringe so that it tastes nicer. However, if she doesn’t take it...

    Can bunny's drink tea?

I agree with this. I think OP is just worried (which is understandable due to their previous bunny) that something will happen to their bunny, but they did say that it was fine. All I’d say, is give your bunny a clean bowl of fresh water. If your tap water is gross, you can use filtered or...

    Maintaining clean fur

What hay and what pellets does she get? Is it alfalfa or grass? As @John Wick said, carrot is high in sugar and should be fed as a treat in moderation. Any dark, leafy green veggie is generally fine however some are high in calcium or can cause gas. I recommend checking out the HRS list of...

    Maintaining clean fur

I believe that Angoras need to be shaved during summer. I’m not too sure if that’s true though so don’t take my word for it. milky white urine also isn’t a good sign. What is her diet like?

    Can bunny's drink tea?

Rabbits can’t drink tea like humans can. However you can brew flowers (rose, chamomile, blue mallow, fennel etc) in hot water, wait for it to cool down and then give it to them. Instead I’d recommend soaking their veggies in water before feeding it to her, especially if she’s not got any GI...
