First time Bunny Boarding experiences (nervous bunny mummy)

Don’t worry I understand exactly how you feel I was away for work training and left my bunnies with my boyfriend at home for 3 days and I made him send me regularly photos including pictures of the litter tray to make sure all looked normal 🙈 I’m actually not looking forward to when we go on...

    One ear drooping

Thank you for your responses from yesterday afternoon he started holding his ear up normally again so it seemed to sort itself out within 24 hours. Hopefully there wasn’t anything wrong and he just did it randomly or maybe he got too hot. Will keep an eye on it for now and fingers crossed he...

    One ear drooping

Hello, I noticed yesterday that one of my bunnies ears is drooping down more than normal. Everything else with him at the moment is fine eating, pooping Etc and the ear itself does not have anything obviously wrong with it.The only thing that happened out of the ordinary was he had his nails...

Does anyone know what this is?

Yes it does have a square type stem actually. I have found something called prunella vulgaris which is a member of the mint family and looks similar. I’m still not 100% clear if it is rabbit safe though I wouldn’t feed it to them on purpose but they might come across it in the garden and try to...

Does anyone know what this is?

Hello, Can anyone tell me what the purple plant might be in my photo?? Quite a lot of it has sprung up in my garden and I want to check it’s not poisonous to my rabbits.

Multiple rabbits, how many litter boxes?

My 2 rabbits have the option of 3 litter boxes in their enclosure, we had them all from babies so added extra to help with training. They are bonded and fixed and now they use two out of the three litters regularly. If you have a particularly dominate bun they might stop the submissive one from...

Couple of questions about bunnies outside

Hello, My first question is to anyone who allows there bunnies to free range in the garden. It is something I would love to do, we have a garden that would be perfect for it my only problem is we get cats who climb over the fence. They would never be unsupervised but something could go wrong so...

Safe ways to get rid of weeds in the garden

Hello Does anyone have any safe ways of dealing with weeds in the garden? I don’t want to use weed killer anywhere near where my rabbits could get too. Pulling them out doesn’t help as often don’t get the root.

Does anyone have interlocking floor mats for their buns living space? Looking for suggestions

I loved my foam mats but my bunnies never stopped chewing them, I was so disappointed if it wasn’t for that they would have been a great flooring. I eventually gave up with them and replaced with a couple of rugs to cover the area and they never chewed those at all.

Are bird droppings harmful to rabbits?

Thank you that is reassuring, we have all of our rabbits vaccinated up to date for all diseases mentioned above.

Are bird droppings harmful to rabbits?

Hello does anyone know if bird droppings are likely to be harmful to rabbits? We have had more birds visiting the garden lately where I let my rabbits out. I try to make sure the area is clean but you can’t always spot everything in the grass.

    Hidey House Recommendations

My rabbits most favourite hiding place is a large cardboard box, you can cut holes in however you want. They do get chewed but I consider that a double bonus as provides enrichment. I can get them for free from my work place when they get deliveries so if they get chewed I just replace them.

    Very small poops

Very useful article thank you! I suppose the most likely scenario here is stress, maybe that would explain why it’s only temporary and infrequent. They are house rabbits so may occasionally get noise from us or the television that upsets them. There have been no other diet or environment...

    Very small poops

I keep finding very tiny poops in my bunnies cage, I probably find a couple like this once a week (pictured next to normal poops). These usually occur out of the litter box which is why I find them so easily. All other poops are completely normal though! Does anyone else see this?

    Poisonous tree overhangs our garden

Sadly I can’t rake it up as the petals are too fine they just go straight through the rake and it’s pretty bad (see picture). I guess they’ll have to stay in the garage for now :( I can’t have them in the house as I keep my other pair in there and they’ll smell each other.

    Poisonous tree overhangs our garden

So we have a horse chestnut tree that overhangs our garden and I’ve read that all parts of a horse chestnut is poisonous to rabbits. In Autumn I usually just rake the leaves out of my rabbits run area but now we are in spring it is shedding flowers all over! I can’t clean these up very well they...

    Vaccination side effects?

Vaccines all done, need to get the RHD2 in June but the first one went well, the worst bit was taking them in to the vet when they sit there all shaky and wide eyed in their carriers makes me feel so guilty. Once they were home have been completely normal since, thanks everyone for your comments :)

    Vaccination side effects?

Thank you everyone that is reassuring, as they’ve had them before I’m hoping nothing very bad will happen. I know that it’s not unusual for us to feel weird after vaccinations I wondered if it was normal for a bunny to be ‘off colour’ in a similar way afterwards

    Vaccination side effects?

Hello, I am getting annual vaccination boosters this week for my bunnies for the first time (we rescued them so their first lot was done by the rescue centre). I was just wondering if there might be any side effects I should expect if anyone has experienced this? I live in the UK so will be...
