How much hay in Small Pet Select boxes?

If you have a feed store near you you might be able to buy hay by the bale for cheaper.. but yeah.. our feed store nearby doesn't sell Timothy though ... only Alfalfa.. which might have been the problem you ran into Jacaroe? Not sure.

    Rabbit proof carpet/rugs?

Hey whitelop, there's a video that Lennon the rabbit's hooman did on this subject on Youtube. Maybe try that.

    I’m frustrated

I still can't trim Bunster's nails but I'm waiting for the day I can lolol. If there's a HouseRabbitSociety near you I heard they do nail trims for a low price. My friend takes her rabbit on a drive because he gets scared and stays still enough for her sister to trim his nails. Can you coax...

    Dandruff?

Thanks Popsicles. Wasn’t sure if bunnies got that like I did hah. Yeah the dandruff looking flake was a very very tiny piece but still I’ve seen tiny tiny bugs that look like mites in his pen while cleaning before so I’m concerned. I get dandruff myself lol but wonder if any amount of it...

    Dandruff?

Looked at those pics.. eeks.. yeah it doesn't look like conjunctivitis or an eye infection to me. He's always had some eye boogers since I got him so I think it could be congenital since this site says some rabbits especially lops or dwarfs can be born with kinked tear ducts...

    Dandruff?

thanks for the link! I haven't ever seen any mites on Bunster and I have a pretty good eye, but I've seen what look like mites in his enclosure before. Wonder why. Bunster also has eye boogers ...... is this normal?

    Dandruff?

I noticed a little bit of dandruff on the outside of Bunster's ear, the area closest to where the ear attaches to the head. Is this a cause for concern?

Nice! I've bought Bunster some toys but he wasn't interested in them.. so far haven't found anything he loves to chew.

    Cleanliness

hmm.. are you sure it's your rabbit or is it the housing area? Maybe you need a bigger litter box? I had a regular corner one for rabbits and I had to clean it every other day. Now I have a big litter box from Walmart and I fill it with wood stove pellets, and so far I've found I need to...

    Rabbits avoiding their litterbox

Sounds to me like you might have to start over and confine them to a smaller space and redo litter box training.

    Bunny peeing outside of litterbox

Yes my litter box is 5 inches tall, at first I was worried Bunster would have trouble but he's totally fine.

    Bunny peeing outside of litterbox

I wish I could have the same convo with Bunster lolol who is also not free roam. I’m a little strict though in that I also don’t like poops everywhere and that apparently can’t be helped much?

    Bunny peeing outside of litterbox

I had trouble with Bunster "missing" when my box had a low side. But I got a x-large cat litter pan from Walmart and it's been perfect, no more pee over any sides. Also I put Bunster's hay directly in there, not sure if you do that. Vinegar/water, 50/50 solution is what I use to clean up...

    Clicker training

I tried some clicker training as well to try to get Bunster to get on a scale on command, but didn't seem to get very far. It seemed like it was working except that actually he was just following my hands for the treat, not the verbal cue lol. At least clicker training has been functional...

    Sleeping with your Bunny?

I don't, but I think it's so cute when others do! I wouldn't be able to bear with pee in the bed and hustling would surely wake me up, plus I'd be afraid of squashing Bun with my rolling. And I don't think I have that kind of bond with Bunster yet.. I'm excited just when he flops near me.

How much hay in Small Pet Select boxes?

Yep I have a carpet chewer, so that's exactly why I was asking. Right now, I have a bedsheet on top of a carpet. Which looks worse than a rug :p I have been too cheap to buy a rug and have it destroyed if it doesn't work out.
