She’s eating!! We just had lovely cuddles and then I put her back in her cage to rest and she flopped straight away- feeling relieved. Thanks again all

    Spayed rabbit not eating

She’s been taking the critical care throughout the day but still wasn’t really eating so I took her back to the vet today who checked her over and was happy with how she’s doing. She’s eaten a few leaves tonight and I’m going to stay with her to keep an eye. It’s so horrid, she just looks...

    Spayed rabbit not eating

Hi, She’s still not eating and the vet has said I should give her some critical care. She’s 1.2kg- do I give all 3tbsp (and 6tbsp of water) in one go? Or do I have to spread it out throughout the day? Thank you

    Spayed rabbit not eating

Thank you @JBun I was given pain killers which she’s had but she still isn’t eating. I’ve given her some water using a syringe and I’ve phoned the vet. She looks so sad. Thank you, hoping she’ll pick up soon, feeling so worried at the moment

    Spayed rabbit not eating

She just had a little bit of a leaf and a tiny nibble of a banana. I fed it to her by hand and she took a bit, it had been next to her for about half an hour and she hadn’t even looked at it. Still no hay amor water though. She did a tiny wee but still no poo. Will phone the vet first thing if...

    Spayed rabbit not eating

Hi, Our sweet bunny was spayed today and is so sad. She hasn’t eaten any hay and I haven’t seen her drink anything. I offered her some banana and she had a tiny nibble but not much at all. When should she start eating/drinking? I’m so worried Thanks so much

Have my bunnies manipulated me into filling up their hay racks too frequently?

Wow!! No, I don’t get anything like that. I spend about £28 and it lasts two rabbits just under a month. I’ve saved loads since I stopped going to a pet store but will carry on looking for a deal

Have my bunnies manipulated me into filling up their hay racks too frequently?

Sorry to post on someone else’s thread but how do you train them to waste less? I haven’t got money to waste and we buy our hay from a farm but would love to waste less hay. Thank you

    Shedding or?

Our rex was exactly the same, I was so worried especially as he went totally bald in some places but it’s all grown back and you’d never know. I use the small furminator and it works well. Good luck

    New bunny advice please

Thank you so much, it’s hard not to worry but it’s healing so I’ll try. She’s still not eating her cecotropes and ends up with them stuck on her. It’s not helping her relax with me as she hates me picking them out but I don’t want her walking around with them because of flies...

Marks and possible cut- looks serious

Is it just a normal scent gland or could it be infected? Thanks so much

Marks and possible cut- looks serious

Hi, We’ve just adopted a Holland lop Dow and there’s a few marks over her which I think were from a rabbit she was previously with. She’s young, I was told she was probably 14 weeks and I’ve just noticed a strange mark around her bottom (there’s two, one on each side of her genitals) She doesn’t...

    New bunny advice please

She’s still not eating her cecotropes, she’s very skinny so not sure what to do. We’re giving lots of Timothy hay with a sprinkle of alfalfa on top and a tablespoon of pellets day and night. She’s very sweet and growing in confidence slowly.

    New bunny advice please

Thanks so much. Going to do some reading around the breed as she seems very nervous at the moment (although I’m aware that might not be a breed thing). She also seems to have tiny scars over her legs and one on her head, at first I thought she might be a bit matted but I can see little scabs. I...
