    Antibiotic Reaction

Are you giving probiotics? I always give probiotics whenever I give antibiotics, especially if its an oral antibiotic, to make up for any beneficial gut bacteria that might be affected by the antibiotics. I use the probios powder from tractor supply but there are other brands.

Color Best Bred to Chocolate Carrier

None of those buck colors would help bring out chocolate. Youd probably need a chocolate buck. though you should always breed for type and structure before breeding for color. There is only a 50% chance that she carries chocolate, if the most recent chocolate ancestor was her grandfather.

Breeding a 2 Year Old Doe Who Hasn’t Had Kits Yet

I've bred a few older does. There's a lower fertility rate; especially if the owner had allowed fat to buildup. Internal fat severely hurts fertility in them. If you get living kits born out of her, I've not had any problems with the older does caring for their litters. But the lower success...

    English spot or checkered giant?

He's neither. He's just a mixed breed rabbit. That coloring (broken pattern) is very common in many, many different breeds. English spots and checkered giants are both rare breeds, and neither his pattern or body shape is right for either of them.

Baby bun nose bitten by an older bunny and bleeding. Will it recover/grow back?

It will grow back but sometimes it can grow back with white scarring. The nose is a very common place for a curious rabbit to get bitten and compared to some of the bites on the nose that Ive seen that one is not very severe

Would this work/be ok?- Rabbits and sheds

My rabbits live in a shed that I added insulation to. They get pretty hot though, especially in a sunny area. I have an AC system hooked up to my shed

    Finding out kits colour

I see a self chinchilla, a magpie, a chinchilla, a sallander, and some shade of chinchilla. Might just be a lighter black chinchilla, but it might be something like a sable chinchilla or seal chinchilla.

Saved rabbit, need help IDing breed so I can look up care tips

Looking at the head or ears is not a good way to tell apart new zealands & new zealand crosses. As they are bred for body shape, their head can range wildly, from broad to long and still be within breed standards. This is a mixed breed rabbit. It could have some new zealand in it. It is not a...

    Rabbit Grass

Try looking into growing fodder for them. People do it all the time - you don't need a soil base, and you can feed the roots and everything. Growing Fodder for Rabbits

    Is my room too small?

Room is not too small at all. Larger than the space I keep mine in, and mine are perfectly happy A lot of rabbit channels and "info" sources try to shame people for keeping rabbits in anything less than a dedicated mansion. I think they just do that because it makes them feel better about...

    Colony

I'd advise not keeping the bucks in with the colony, once they reach maturity the bucks will start fighting each other. They will also rebreed the does right after kindling which can leave the does in poor condition. Most people that successfully breed in colonies only introduce the buck for...

    What is Frosted Cream Harlequin?

No such thing as a frosted cream harlequin. Sounds like the buyer was adding words to try and make her rabbits seem more unique. The harlequin base color comes from the black part, not from the orange part. For example, black harlequin, blue harlequin, chocolate harlequin, etc. You could put...

    Finding out babies colour

Give them a week. Out of chinchilla x magpie, no full extension colors (such as tort, harlequin, or otter) are possible. You might get colors that look like solid blacks, but out of this pairing they'd actually be "self chinchilla" So far I see what might a sallander/sable point or a frosty, one...

    My rabbit suddenly died

If this was her first litter, look into "young doe death syndrome" It's possible the thrashing was not related to her death. Sounds like she might have been going downhill earlier if she was sleepy. The thrashing might just have been death throes

    Travelling

Never have a carrier open or animal in your lap while driving. While we might have seatbelts to protect us rabbits do not, and if there were an accident and unrestrained rabbit is likely to have injury (that is the same reason that I don't recommend having travel carriers that are larger than...
