I can't get over how cute they are! The picture of Rufus flopping is killing me! ❤
Have patience with their litter habits, they will catch on eventually. That is so awful about ringworm, I know the vet will be able to help though. I really hope you don't have to quarantine Lady.
Thank you for all the answers! I am going to talk to Jack's owners and see if I can help them out so they won't have to rehome him. I am giving them a bunch of bunny supplies on Friday and I will suggest several websites for them to look at. If they still want to rehome him after trying out all...
I'm so happy Ruby is home! Please update us with pictures of her now that she feeling better (I always love seeing pictures of her because she is so cute!).
Yay! I'm glad she is doing better! The fact that she ate some means she will poop soon!
The vet needs to be careful giving her critical care and motility drugs if she hasn't had an x-ray because it could make a blockage worse. What do you mean she wouldn't tolerate the x-ray? Are they trying to...
Thank you for the advice! I could do the bonding sessions in our bathroom, but I couldn't set up the pre-bonding pens in there. It is a pretty small bathroom that I have to share with my 2 sisters.
In that case, I won't try too hard to neutralize my room.
Thank you for your answers! I really hope they will bond! I was working from 8-5 every day last week and I think Theo was lonely since I am with him 24/7. He was so happy when I got home and seriously wouldn't leave me alone. It worries me because I will be going to a private school in the fall...
Any more updates? I'm so happy you were able to take her to the ER and that the vets have been able to kinda help her! Subq fluids, and meloxicam, and critical care should really help her out. Has she had an x-ray to make sure she doesn't have a blockage? Do you know if they are giving her any...
She is so cute! ❤ Sounds like she was totally spoiled at her last home, which makes sense because of how adorable she is! I am kinda surprised she wasn't hurt by the cats, but then again my cats are scared of Theo 😂 I hope the vet appointment goes well and she starts eating more hay!
I'm also...
Hello everyone! Some of our friends have a 1-year-old Dutch neutered male rabbit named Jack that they are thinking about rehoming and are wanting me to take. I would love another rabbit, but I need some advice on whether I should adopt him or not because I would have to bond him with Theo and I...
She is so cute! I can tell there is some Flemish Giant in her, but I wouldn't consider her a Flemish Giant because her ears would be bigger if that were the case. She is a mix of lots of rabbit breeds which makes her very special!
Right now I've got lettuce, kale, spinach, tomatoes, mint, basil, parsley, cilantro, cucumbers, melons, thyme, and lots of flowers growing in my garden. Most of the produce is for my family, but Theo does get a lot of it too.
Has there been any trauma where the rabbit could have been hurt? Since the rabbit is a baby, my first thought is it could be e cuniculi, but I am not for sure. From what I have read rabbits can heal from e cuniculi after a 28-day dose of fenbendazole, but if the cells have already been damaged...
Welcome to the forum!
I would keep them in the same room so they can be getting used to each other. The pens need to be at least 6 inches apart to prevent them from nipping or mating through the cage bars.
