    Bonding Rabbits

That's super tough, it sounds like you got all the important stuff right, I hope you and your sweet girls have better luck in future attempts.

    Bonding Rabbits

Are they both spayed? I've had a doe/doe bond work wonderfully before, but they were sisters which tends to make it easier. Did your first bonding attempt occur in a neutral territory?

    Neuter/spay

I've had good luck by getting in contact with smaller rescues and asking which vet in the area they use. The vet typically has a lot of experience from working with the rescue's rabbits and tend to have more affordable rates to accommodate larger groups. Good luck!

My little princess is gone 😭

I am so sorry for your loss, this is such a heartbreaking situation. Never let the jerks of the world say that a bunny isn't worth your grief, they most certainly are. There are some things we just aren't able to protect our bunnies from. Trying to send positive thoughts in your direction

    Outdoor Cages... post your photo

In the process of mixing up the rabbit barn habitat. Not a true outdoor setup, given that the barn is closer to an indoor enclosure than an outdoor, but I still have to keep a close eye on the elements for my fluffy companions since the space is not properly insulated. I have more toys I'm...

Get to know each other game!

Apparently, it's facets, given that I've used it so many times in the paper I'm working on that it's driving me nuts! TPBM celebrates your rabbit's birthday

    Dog and Rabbit Harmony Issues

Thank you so much for this link, it is super helpful! I'm definitely going to be using the acclimation method described, although I think I'm going to have to wait a bit for us to get out of the sort of psychotic puppy stage she's in right now. I think she will likely mature to a point of being...

    Dog and Rabbit Harmony Issues

I have long had dogs, cats, and rabbits living together and never had a previous issue with my dogs, cats, and rabbits treating each other with respect... until now. I'm in the process of training my five-month-old Labrador, Kate, who is showing extremely high prey drive, despite spending some...

    Travelling

Inexpensive, lightly used pet carriers are often found very cheaply on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. I have one similar to this for shorter journeys that works very well (It would also work for long trips, but I have a larger one so the duo can be more comfortable and have their full...

    Travelling

From past experience, you may want to skip the water bottle and offer water in a dish that the water is kept pretty low in. I've had to do quite a few 12-hour drives straight through with my bunnies, and the first time I also used a water bottle. Unfortunately, the motion of the car bounced the...

Need to rehome the best bunny ever - Idaho

He sounds wonderful, I'm so sorry you two have to part ways. While it's a little far away, you could get in touch with the Bozeman Rabbit Resource. They may be able to help you and I know lots of good folks whole make the journey between the two spots pretty frequently who may be able to help...

    New again

Welcome back! I've been a little off the grid myself, but I've tried to keep up on reading the rabbit happenings, it's fun to be back in the fold!

Get to know each other game!

I have a small herb garden, but I would love to expand it next summer (just a little bit, don't want to try my luck too much!) TPBM is enjoys fishing and camping

Ways to get involved with rabbits?

You could also volunteer to socialize or help out at a rabbit rescue. Smaller groups often need help getting rabbits to veterinary appointments or even just having people to determine how socialized a rabbit is for potential adopters. I'm sure lots of folks would love to show a rabbit enthusiast...

When is a rabbit a senior?

Happy fourth birthday Appollo! While I think some large breeds can be considered seniors as young as four (and not even getting started on the senior designation in show rabbits which is even younger) I would consider senior to be when you start to notice signs of your rabbit appearing more...

    Fun/Interesting Photos!

I raise you Neal, acting as an example for the correct way to wear eclipse protection glasses (while he looked cute, our boy unfortunately, had to miss the eclipse as I decided he would be safer in a place where there would be no risk of damage to his eyes)

    What's Iris' colour?

Broken fawn maybe, I think orange is a self-color while fawn tends to be blended

    Harness

The most fun and safest option for both of you will likely be some kind of exercise pen instead of a harness and leash. Things can go wrong incredibly quickly with a harness and you will have to be on alert to changes in the environment all the time. In a run/play pen you can lie down in the...

Get to know each other game!

That's a pretty good idea! I use a cleaned-out terra-cotta flower pot as an extra hay bin for the bunnies to steal from! It's functional, cute, and best of all, free! TPBM is interested in adding more varieties of foraged plants to their rabbit's diet
