  1. The Bunny Room

Two (spay and neutered) Rabbits, approx. 3 years old and in good health. Salem, Oregon

All of the rabbit rescue groups I contacted locally are overwhelmed. It is so sad. Everyone wants a cute baby bunny but very few people are willing to adopt an adult rabbit and even fewer are willing to adopt a bonded pair despite the fact that rabbits are very social animals. I wish more was...

Welcome! So and Jupiter are so cute! It is good to learn all that you can! I have had my rabbits for three years since their adoption as adults and I am still learning. The most important thing I have learned is to be super careful to research the plant foods you introduce. It can be fun to...

I am so sorry for your loss. You did all that you could. You did all that you could. I am so sorry for your loss.

Thank you for your kindness. It is important to me that Gracie and George are safe, healthy and happy. I tried to Jon the PNW Rabbit group on Facebook but there was some kind of a glitch and I could not get the answers to the screening questions to post and so they rejected my request to join. I...

Hip dysplasia due to lack of floor traction surface

I wanted to share some exciting news about Maude! Her leg musculature and gait seems to be improving! She is moving around in a more normal Way without splaying out her legs as much! If she has a spinal Issue, it may be less aggravated by having a firmer and softer surface. Hopefully, I was able...

Thank you. I tried Rabbit Advocates in the past (over a year ago) and I reached out to them again tonight with a link to this thread. The rabbits will remain safe and well cared for. This is just a very difficult situation and it is not sustainable.

Thank you. Yes, I reached out to Rabbit Advocates in the past and I tried again tonight and added a link to this post. I feel desperate at this point. The rabbits are very safe and well cared. I have been trying to find a home for them for over a year. Sadly, there are lots of rabbits that get...

Thank you! I just took several photos and attached them. I hope you can see them. I also made a $15 one time donation (anonymously) to avoid posting my full name. Are you able to see the photos? I do not have a computer and I am doing all of this in my iPhone. Thank you!

I have been trying to find a loving home for two rabbits. I am not sure how to post a photo. The rabbits are between 3 and 4 years old. They are named George and Gracie. I was told (from the previous owner) that they are half Flemish Giant and half New Zealand. Gracie is very beautiful and she...

Hip dysplasia due to lack of floor traction surface

Thank you for your valuable perspectives. I appreciate both of your insights. I feel better to at least feel that this is probably not something that I could have prevented. I hope she continues to stay as a healthy as possible and I will keep a close eye on her and watch for symptoms of...

Hip dysplasia due to lack of floor traction surface

Yes, this was my first suspicion. Thank you for your insights. A friend who works in orthopedics (for humans) suggested the hip dysplasia theory. I thought it might be a spinal injury or a neurological problem (and I can’t fully rule this out) without seeking medical care for this rabbit...

Hip dysplasia due to lack of floor traction surface

Hello everyone. I have four rabbits, and over the last few months I noticed some atrophy and splaying of the back legs of one of my rabbits. I assume that it was probably due to a minor back injury that was causing some nerve damage. The rabbit did not seem to be in any pain and she is still...

Seeking help to re-home two sweet spay and neutered rabbits

Hi All, I adopted four rabbits from craigslist about three years ago. I have developed sinusitis and need surgery. I have been providing outstanding care for the rabbits who were in need of a loving home because their previous owner could no longe care for them. All four rabbits are between 3...
