Need advice on keeping rabbits in my room

my rabbit(s) lives in my room also. He doesn't have a ton of supplies but enough for him to live a very happy life. I'm not sure if you keep storage under your bed or if there is another reason that you don't want them under there, but under my bed has been very useful for me. My rabbits tunnel...

    favorite treats?

Barley rings and pea flakes are also favourites here. Any 100% dried fruit (I make my own). Hay cookies, oat treats, forage mixes, dandelion root, apple sticks, fresh willow (leaves and the stick - my bun only eats the fresh stuff), dried veggies. I make most of these myself, but still, somehow...

    Irrational (or rational...) fears

Does anyone have any weird irrational (or possibly rational) fears when it comes to their rabbits? I'm always terrified that Apollo will jump out of my window... He always looks up at it longingly, and would even hop up there if there was something that could give him a boost. I had to...

    small bunny poops after boarding

It's likely just because of the stress of travelling and being in a new place. it is also possible that the boarding place did something but as long as they are still behaving normally, I'm sure they're fine. Just make sure to offer lots of hay and water, and keep an eye on their poops and...

    New bunny pen

I personally wouldn't say there are many cost-effective ways to house rabbits outdoors as there are so many factors to keep in mind. Here in the UK, we have many businesses that custom-make and build rabbit housing for us (along with many people who make their own) for fairly cheap, but all of...

Why doesn’t my rabbit like to eat hay off the litter box?

I agree. The only reason that my bun had ever finished his hay was during the first lockdown when my haybox had been delayed two weeks - he spent both weeks eating the grass from our garden, which was finished so quickly, I had to refill every three hours. I've seen bales of meadow hay being...

What colour should I breed my does with?

I do have to agree with @Dandy&Tuli4693. I don't have a problem with ethically breeding, but don't think it should be done just because you (not you specifically) want cute kittens. When you start breeding, you should think about a lot of things. The first being "why do I want to breed.". As I...

    New bunny pen

I wouldn't use that house thing and an exercise pen as permanent housing, especially not outdoors. Most store-bought hutches are too small and not worth the price. I personally prefer rabbit sheds or aviaries. These can be handmade if you or someone you know is good with their hands :P I...

My first 4 months with Daisy Mae

My bun was single for the first almost three years of his life. He was given up to the rescue after his previous owners couldn't bond him with their male rabbits. Just before his third birthday, I adopted his girlfriend, and for me, it was the best thing that I had done. His girlfriend passed...

    New here

For four bunnies, i'd try to have as big a set-up as possible. Generally it's just a shed, but you need to make sure that it's weather-proof (no cracks, inslulation, windows if possible), and predator-proof (a solid flooring, a strong wiring *not chicken wire*). ideas...

Not eating hay and drinking water

You also could try putting the hay to his mouth / hand-feeding him to encourage hay eating. But if he doesn't eat soon, I would take him back to the vet or call for advice. I would hope that as it's been two days now, it would be easier and less painful for him to eat. Were you given pain relievers?

    Stuffed Animal

My bun started licking stuffed toy (mickey mouse) that he had had for like a year for the first time last year before we got him a partner. Once he got a partner, Mickey mouse was tossed to the side, although in all honesty, my boy never groomed his girlfriend but she groomed him 24/7. When she...

What colours are my mini lop’s

The one on the left looks blue. And i'm inclined to say that the one on the right is a seal point... but I might be wrong 😅 gorgeous buns eitherway! 🥰

    Longan for rabbits?

Longan seems similar to lychee (which rabbits can eat), so it's probably safe. Just remove the seed, and feed in small quantities as it is high in sugar. I may be wrong, but it seems okay. It is still worth checking out the facebook groups mentioned above.

I would try to feed them more often (unless there is still enough (a body size worth) food, grass/hay/any other high fiber bunny-safe food). Definitely look at getting hay, as Catlyn said. If you google "timothy hay {your town}", then you should get some good results. if you buy online (from...

How much spinach is too much spinach?

Yeah, of course. I just thought it might help. What works for me won't work for others! x

When is a rabbit a senior?

Thank you! I don't think Apollo would be a senior just yet, but I can tell he's not as springy as his two-year-old self - that might be his sore hocks though... he still loves to throw things at me, and jump on my bed, and all that mean rabbit stuff he does (jk, kinda). I am glad to hear that...
