A rabbit that doesn't eat hay....

Ugh, the molasses. Bunnies don't need it! Pet companies will put that stuff into products to get them to eat it.

Bunny refusing favorite treats and kind of lethargic

What you can try doing if you have no critical care on hand. Get a table spoon of pellets, add 2 to 3 tablespoon of water. Let the pellets soak until soft. Mash up the pellets and until they have a fuffy, mushy texture. Wipe a small amount under your bunny nose ( not on her nose) This may help...

A rabbit that doesn't eat hay....

Hay cubes are a great treat instead of other pet treats, such as cookies and dried fruit. Hay is important for a rabbit digestive track but, the long strands of hay are very important for wearing down the back molars. I would have the rabbit checked out to see if it has bone spurs.

A rabbit that doesn't eat hay....

I had a rabbit that wouldn't eat much hay. He would eat everything else including leafy greens. I took him and discovered he had bone spurs growing out of his molars. The vet said that the he wasn't eating hay due to that issue. So I had to get his teeth filed down every 4-6 weeks and had him...

    Monthly/Yearly Budget for Large Rabbits?

Small Pet Select is outrageously priced in Canada. I wanted a Flemish Giant but an owner was trying to steer me away from getting. He said that they only live for 4-5 year and it was his first one. I don't know how true that is. Its a lot of bunny. Hehe.

    Monthly/Yearly Budget for Large Rabbits?

I've looked into that. The drive is far away for me.

    Monthly/Yearly Budget for Large Rabbits?

My bunny would be happy!!! I could make that into an edible couch and he would chew on it all day :). That is too far away for me to go. I would spend a lot of money on gas. There are 2 feeds stores around me but they will not bring a bale of hay. I've requested for them to do that and they...

I want to know more about Holland Lop!

An option is eliminate the pellets and feed your bunny lots of hay and leafy greens. With your rabbit eating more veggies he'll drink less water. He'll be getting water from his veggies.

You can try these pellets https://store.sherwoodpethealth.com/adult-rabbit-food-professional/ since your rabbit is a big hay eater.

    Monthly/Yearly Budget for Large Rabbits?

I wish I could get a bale hay but that would take up my whole living space. That is a massive saving. :)

    I feel guilty...

Awesome, your bunny has more space to do more bunny things. I'm not sure if your bunny is a chewer but a suggestion would be to get some NIC grids try to block off those things he can chew on. No matter how many toys a rabbit has they get curious and like to taste test other things. Its looking...

    Monthly/Yearly Budget for Large Rabbits?

Bigger bunnies eat more. This is how much I spend on a 8 pound bunny a month. For 2 5 pound bags of hay - $50.00 1 bag of food Oxbow Adult Rabbit food $15.99. The bag lasts me 2 months. He is more of a hay eater. Litter I use Yesterday News- $21.99 a month . If you clean out the litter box one...

    I feel guilty...

The ramp and platform do take up a lot space. I know there are videos like Lennon The Bunny that talk about how rabbits should free roam and shouldn't be in cages at all. Unfortunately, that doesn't work for all rabbits due to their owners busy lives. Rabbit can get into trouble when your not...

    I feel guilty...

Your father is going to let the rabbit out to run around? I'm not sure how big your bunny is. If you moved out that ramp/platform he would have more room to move around. Not everyone has the room to put up a luxury cage. Its ok if you rabbit is in his cage while your at school/work and you...

    I feel guilty...

You bunny is very tiny. Bunnies grow fast and grow fast out of their cages. You could use cube storage shelves like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0735CKFJK/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 and build around or attached them to the side of the cage to give your bunny a bigger play space. But...

I want to know more about Holland Lop!

Your bunny looks like a black and white broken doe. I'm not sure if your worried that your breeder is correct on what type of breed she is. Looking at pictures she looks like a Holland Lop. The only way you can have her evaluated is by a show judge. Dipper is adorable it doesn't matter if...
