Hi this morning i noticed that one of our male rabbits has some puffiness and some discharge coming from the eyes. He is acting sick, and not too good. there is no other swelling anywhere else, just around his eyes. There is some creamy discharge from the eyes tho. he has only taken a few bites...

I second what @JBun said. Smaller Bits of hay/grass are easier to chew, and therefore use less chewing. Maybe give him some lettuce or any other soft greens in moderation. Make sure that the greens you give him are safe and do not contain pesticides. :)

I completely agree. Rabbits grow a TON when they have lots of space, fresh air and sunshine, and all of the grass and greens that they can eat. We have 2 identical bunnies that are 4 months old. well, one got out and had eluded us. We finally caught it 2 months later. it weighed 3+ pounds...

So Sorry for your loss. My first thought is she died from stress. taking a trip is stressful for a rabbit. I agree with @Blue eyes . i think the combined stress of traveling + the new climate + running/exercise in a unfamiliar place isn't good.

16 inches of hight in my opinion is plenty of space for a rabbit. I think wrapping CC grids around your bed would be the best idea. It would give her light and ventilation.

@BB03 ,if you make a wood hidey house, make sure that you don't put sealer on it, it is toxic to rabbits. 😊

We don't feed our rabbits sugar heavy treats, mostly fresh blackberry leaves, fresh clover, I'll have to try the selective natural berry loops tho ;). Mainly just fresh greens, and a occasional banana peel.
