    When to intervene? {rabbit bonding}

I don’t allow small circles, biting down hard, fighting with front paws, tornado I allow stomping and I will step in if the other bunny dosen’t listen after awhile. Chasing are okay but I stop it if it go on for too long, nips and fur pulling are okay as long it’s not near the face. The fur...

Have anyone seen a netherland dwarf with angora fur type?

That might be true and can explain the difference between them. I was just curious because I’ve never heard of them before. Thanks a lot for your replys.

Anyone know of or have thoughts on this ?

I wouldn’t buy any testing if I didn’t know there was an ongoing infection. It’s like us human we have a lot of bacteria on us and if our flora changes the bacteria can cause to become sick even though they are natural for us to have. It’s the same for bunnies they have bacterias on/in them...

    Happy bunny life

I start the week with throwing the mattres cover into the washing machine and blanket that cover the mattress because Embla choice to urinate all over the bed. At least tomorrow or today I will get water proof mattress covers and I can easily shift between them. So now Embla can pee all she want...

Have anyone seen a netherland dwarf with angora fur type?

Jersey wooly look a lot like the fuchs fur type of netherland dwarf. Their fur should be easier to manage than the angora fur type and don’t need regular brushing. Maybe the angora type fur look the same as the fuchs/jersey wooly.

    potty training

That’s great but bare in mind teenage years and she might start marking everywhere if you are unlucky. One of my girls who is 3 years old, she’s still not litter trained when free roaming. She have a tendency to mark things even though spayed while the others are great going on the litter boxes...

    Breeder vs. Rescue

I have both rehome bunnies and from breeders. From my experience rasing a bunny from baby often make them a bit more reasured but their personality will vary depending on the individual. Taking over a rehome home bunny they can have traumas which makes them act more fearful but it just means it...

Questions about leaving bunny alone or traveling with it

It all depends on the bunny. My netherland dwarf boy always moved around with me. It could be 7 hrs train trip to 1 hr car trips. We did it quite often the first year. Often the first 30 mins he will be stressed but will settle down after that. I always make sure he have hay and I have his...

Have anyone seen a netherland dwarf with angora fur type?

I was just reading the show standard for netherland dwarves in my country and to my suprise there are 5 types of fur types they can have and allowed to show. 1. Short coating 2. Rex fur 3. Fuchs fur, long haired but easier to manage than angora and don’t need regular brushing except during...

Bunnies outside in the playpen for the whole afternoon

It all depends on how hot and if your bunnies are used to eat grass. If not used to eating grass, I always limit my bunnies time outdoors. If it’s really hot I keep them indoors or place their run in a shady area from the start but it all depends on how warm it becomes.

My Mom Won't Let Me Spay My Rabbit?

Find a more experienced vet. Where I neutered my bucks they had experience with males but not females. So they never handled female rabbits because they aren’t experience enough. Instead I go to another vet for the girls when spaying even though it cost a lot they are the best for spaying and...

I bought a one month old rabbit.... how to take care of her

A month old rabbit is too young to be away from their mom. But if it’s already eating solid food I would encourage hay eating and feed the pellets it’s used to eat. Over time I would slowly change to the pellets brand you want to use. Their stomach can be quite sensitive and I never do big...

    Happy bunny life

The new bunny of the family will be called Tyra after Tyr from the nordic mythology. So we are following the same as before and she’s called Tira, so it just a small change but prounced the same in my language ☺️ So we are fixing her insurance already and the other owner will take her to get...

    Happy bunny life

Sometimes things don’t go as planned, after Toste had to be put down I told myself to never own another lop eared bunny. Because I had so many health issues because of bad genetics. Today I had a person asking if I’m interested to take over a bunny who needs a new home. It’s a rexed fur holland...

    Happy bunny life

I will only rehome her when a good home turns up. Otherwise she will stay with me and we will try to make it work. I will just need to buy water proof bed covers and easy to wash carpets etc. But best would be that she found a home that could give her all the space she needs to be a fully happy bun.

    Happy bunny life

I’ve decided to rehome Embla because she don’t fit in the apartment. In a house we could section off the livingroom, avoid having shelves where she was, secure the plants but in an apartment we don’t have the same option for an active bundle of joy than restricting her to even less space. I’m...
