    Accidental litter

Daily baby bunny! Today's weights are: 3.9 for our red baby, 5.0 for our gigantic light grey, 3.8 for our blue tort, and 3.4 for our black tort! No eyes open yet, but I managed to avoid getting peed on today, so there's that. I need nickname suggestions for them!!! The black tort, I'm thinking...

    Accidental litter

Your daily baby bunny. Today's weights: 4.8, 3.3, 3.8, 3.2. They're becoming quite the handful, ready to explore outside the nest even though their eyes aren't open yet. Lots of wiggling and running. And peeing, can't forget that. I've been soaked twice now. Fur is coming in nicely, and I can...

    Cecotrophes

Since he's tiny, he gets about 1/4 cup per day.

    Cecotrophes

I have a Holland lop who is 16 weeks old now. He's a healthy, happy baby, but I am concerned about one thing: he rarely, if ever, eats his cecotrophes. Is this something I should be worried about, as he is otherwise perfectly healthy? And if so, what can I do about it? I feed Kaytee 1st cut...

    Fat babies?

    Awwww, they're beautiful!

    Accidental litter

Today's weights are a whopping 4.2, 3.2, 3.0, and 3.5. The biggest and the smallest are standouts, the biggest because it is absolutely  huge in comparison to its littermates, the smallest because it is  fast. I had a hard time getting a pic because it was running off the mat!!! While Bragi...

    Accidental litter

I'll look out for that. After the two died, I've been paranoid. Now I check them every couple of hours. I only weigh them in the morning, but I make sure everyone is breathing and moving every couple of hours.

    Accidental litter

Today's weights are 2.7, 2.0, 2.5, and 1.9 ounces. Their bellies are so fat I was worried about them!

    Accidental litter

I've been checking them and weighing them

    Accidental litter

Today, the weights are 1.8, 1.5, 1.5, and 1.3 ounces. Sadly, we lost two during the night.

    Accidental litter

Another question: do I need to be concerned about the fact that the parents are siblings? I definitely did not want them breeding with each other! I was told the parents are Holland lops, but I believe they're either minilops (the American version,, not the UK), or mixed with something else...

    Accidental litter

I've handled them for a minute or two, long enough to get weights on them. We have 1.2, 1.5, 1.2, 1.3, 1.6, and 1.0 ounces on all of them. No readily apparent deformities, but the one that only weighs one ounce is visibly smaller than the other five. Not SIGNIFICANTLY smaller, just enough that...

Thank you for those articles!!! I was looking for something like them! Thank you for those articles!!! I was looking for something like them!

    Accidental litter

Thank you so much! I'll start handling them now, and weighing them.

    Accidental litter

Help!!!!! We have a litter as of today. This was  not intentional. I've been keeping them separated, for the last two months, but apparently at some point Loki got through to Bragi and the deed was done. As I said, not intentional. The plan has always been having my three fixed, but there are...
  16. sibelabmom

    Breed question

The older two are 7 months old. I don't have weights on them because they're not inclined to hold still for my scale (imagine that), but I'd estimate a minimum of 4 - 5 pounds each, or 1.8 - 2.2 kilograms. The young one is almost 11 weeks old, and weighs 1 pound, 1.3 oz, or .49 kilogram (he WILL...
  17. sibelabmom

    Breed question

They don't have the same facial characteristics at all. Týr, the black one, totally matches the breed description, with a flatter face. Loki and Bragi definitely have more pointed faces, which doesn't match the breed standard at all. Would that fall under false dwarf? The only Holland I can...
  18. sibelabmom

    Breed question

No, I agree. The breeder of the first two swore he ONLY breeds Hollands, but now that Týr has joined the fluffle (I love that word), I can see there's a big difference.

    Breed question

When I got Loki and Bragi, I was told they are Holland lops, but their faces are longer, not flat. Týr came from a different breeder, also supposed to be Holland lop, but he more fits the description, so I'm wondering now if my first two are mixes?

    Twofold question here.

Thank you. There were a number of people telling me diatomaceous earth. I bought the 1% injectable ivermectin, and I have syringes with removable needles for those tiny dosages, and I very much appreciate the formula to work the dosage out for myself!
