Is this bedding safe for litter box?

I’ve been using it. I cover it with hay. But my bunnies starting digging all the litter out of the box… I think I’m going to have to start using a grate cover on the litter box.

Is this bedding safe for litter box?

People on here have suggested pine wood pellet bedding for the bottom of the litter box… My local equestrian center only had this brand. Has anyone used this before or know if it’s safe? Thanks!

Female bunny mounting our other female bunny??

Oh no! I got two females because I thought they’d keep each other company and I wouldn’t have to worry about one getting pregnant. They’ve gotten along well until yesterday when one started mounting the other. I hope I don’t have to separate them forever 😩

Female bunny mounting our other female bunny??

We have two female bunnies - they’re 3.5 months old now (one is 14 weeks and one is 15 weeks)… The slightly older one has just started mounting the other - she just started yesterday and she’s doing it Alllll the time. Should I separate them? They’re both female, so they can’t get pregnant, but...

    Walnut shell pellets for litter?

Hello - Does anyone use this Walnut shell pellet litter? I was looking for “wood pellets” for litter, but this was the closest thing that came up. I’m looking for litter that I can just dump on my property with the hay. Thanks!

    Is this diarrhea or pee?

I let our new three month old bunnies run around in our patio area during the day… one of them just did this in the corner. It looks like diarrhea, but there are regular poops there too (so maybe it’s just some sort of thick pee)?? If it’s diarrhea should I call a vet. She’s otherwise been fine...

Can I use hay instead of “litter”?

Hello, I have two young bunnies and am trying to litter train them… Can I just fill the whole litter box with hay instead of using litter? Right now I have litter paper pellets in the litter box with hay in the front of the box. I like this setup, but I’m wondering if I can just fill the whole...

Advice needed on baby bunny care!

Thank you so much for all the info! I don’t know how old they were when they were weaned - they might’ve been with their mamas until I got them at 6 weeks and 7 weeks (but I don’t know - they were out of their cages when I arrived). Makes me sad if they were taken from their moms too soon. I...

Advice needed on baby bunny care!

Thank you so much for all of the info! Very helpful! I was told the hay was “Timothy hay” - they eat it, but I don’t have a sense of exactly how much they eat (because I have so much out in so many places)… I’ll try to monitor their hay consumption more closely. I’ll start to weigh them as well...

Advice needed on baby bunny care!

Ah, yes, of course - that makes a lot of sense (I don’t know why I didn’t think of that)! I will definitely do that. Thanks for all the info!

Advice needed on baby bunny care!

Ok - so maybe I’ll just put out some pellets in the morning and some more in the evening instead of making sure the bowl is full all day. Thank you!

New Bunny Pen Setup Advice Needed

Hello, I just posted in another thread about my new baby bunnies (Brownie age 9 weeks and BunBun age 8 weeks)… I’d like to get some feedback on my set up. Right now I have them in our living room in a pen that is 9’x6’ - there is a hutch inside the pen, but the hutch door is never closed. Inside...

Advice needed on baby bunny care!

Hello, I’m new to rabbits. We got two baby Holland Lop bunnies on Christmas Eve. They’re the sweetest little creatures. I want to make sure we’re taking the best care of them and I’m a little lost (especially because almost everything I read about rabbits is about adult rabbits.) I was told the...
