    Rabbit temperature

I've only seen it done rectal, but I leave that to my vet, I'm rather clumsy and wouldn't dare to try that myself. Since mercury thermometers are as good as extinct nowadays I reckon with "Digital" you mean an Infrared thermometer, right? Don't think that would work, with all that fur.

    Aluminum ramp?

No. The surface should have good grip though, and should not be abrasive, better not bare metal. I would rather keep replacing wooden ramps though, if he keeps using them as chewing toys, well, great, that's what rabbits enjoy doing. You could also put a replaceable sacrifice chewing board at...

    Fat babies?

Well, 2 is a very, very small litter, so they would get fed well anyway. Keep checking how the spine of the doe feels like, that's the easiest way for me to tell if a doe is eating too much and gets fat.

How did this litter turn out by now?

    Not eating hay

Alfalfa is a great choice for getting rabbits to grow fast, which is useful for growing lifestock. And, yes, rich food tastes better, pellets are made to taste great. If you give kids free choice between Happy Meals or vegetable stew, what will they grow up with? ;). I use pellets as treats and...

    Help with new baby bunny

Grass hay is pretty much the safest option, and introducing your pellets over a week or so. Would be better to ask though, if possible. But keep an eye on his intake, if he likes the hay etc.

    Rabbit loose motions

Does he still eat? Was there any change in diet lately? What exactly are those "loose motions"? Can you describe it, like: Weak, with no power, or :Uncontrolled, lopsided, uncoordinated?

    Help with new baby bunny

First, keep feeding what he is used to, and gradually, over a week or so depending how different the diet is, change to whatever you feed the others. This isn't a baby anymore, and since your goal isn't max growth rate anyway you can feed whatever you plan to do long term. A lot of those...

    Surprise baby kits

Kits in a litter can be quite diverse, depending on which set of genes they inherit. With random mixes you never know what you gonna get, it's a bucket of surprises. Imo they are most, most likely from the same male.

Help!!! (red urine- is it blood?)

Same here, regarding antibiotics, which imho is a good thing. You can't get any over the counter.

Help!!! (red urine- is it blood?)

Has to get what? If I go to the vet he is supposed to care about the problem at hand. It's not like he has any authority over my animal, be it pet or lifestock. I reckon vets are partly a luxury accommodation in the US, are there shelters or such that´would offer more reasonable service...

Help!!! (red urine- is it blood?)

First, is it really blood, pee can have wiered colours. What does it look like, is it uniform in colour or are there streaks or blotches? Can you get pictures? Did you check her over thoroughly to see if there is an injury? Is she acting normal, eating, drinking, nursing? The kits are several...

    Best supply for bunnies.

It's more like at 9-12 weeks to seperation between boyes and girls, depending on size, small breeds mature faster. The youngest doe of mine getting pregnant was just 14 weeks, and mine are 10lbs rabbits. Females together can work in the right setup, that's how I keep my 3-4 does and their...

How do I start raising rabbits?

First, get an idea about why you want to raise rabbits. What is your goal, what do expect this venture is going to do for you. What you have to prepare for is that they need attention every day. Going on vacation, or getting sick can be a challange. It's chores every day, no matter how you feel...

New Zealand rabbit pregnant 32 days and no kits

Sometimes it can take longer, my Chantal kindled on day 35 pretty consistantly. Just act on the asumption that she is pregnant until day 38 or so.

    Best supply for bunnies.

Depends on size and number of rabbits, where and how they are housed, what your expectations are, etc. I built all hay racks, from an old crib and wooden baby or dog gates, or wire baskets from old freezers and such. Imo it's better to have 2-4 hay racks for a group than one big one, but also a...

    Apple Cider Vinegar for rabbits?

Oh, well, Ivermectin does kill mites, or even fleas if it were those, definitly a very versatile drug. Sanitary conditions aren't necesserly connected with mites, but right, they would go unnoticed and untreated under bad care. Anyway, good that it worked, but I wouldn't leave out the Ivermectin...

    Apple Cider Vinegar for rabbits?

How did you confirm that this were mites, and not a coat issue that he would have grown out of anyway? The few times I suspected mites I skipped the lab test since it was way more expensive than the treatment. If it were mites I would expect that the skin would be damaged in some way, and that...

    Syphilis?

Doesn't look like any pictures I ever saw of syphilis, those were all more crusty, inflamed affairs, although I don't know how it would look like in early stages. Reminds me more of those though: : https://www.rabbitsonline.net/threads/is-this-just-a-little-pimple-on-my-rabbit-*****.98746/...
