Sherwood Appetite Restore - how much to give?

I think it's more like an electrolyte vitamin mix. So you don't really need to be giving a lot, or even give every day. Just mostly when a rabbit may be dehydrated or hasn't been eating, to help restore those electrolytes. Along with the prescribed antibiotics, one med that really helped my...

2 week old orphaned kit with yellow but firm poop

Since you've already been to a vet for this, I'd suggest trying phoning them up and asking for an antibiotic prescription for the bunny for you to pick up. You can try researching what the correct antibiotic would be for rabbits that have this so you know what antibiotic to request from the...

2 week old orphaned kit with yellow but firm poop

Yellow diarrhea is a sign of e. coli. It can be pretty serious if the diarrhea continues, usually it's fatal if not treated promptly. Because your bunny is still alive and the diarrhea has firmed back up, that may be hopeful. But those poops still aren't normal, so it may mean that there is...

How to get my rabbit to eat

If he's losing weight and won't eat the new pellets, I'd be inclined to just feed the old pellets for now, and feed more (enough that it just runs out at the end of the day and it's time to feed again) until he settles in better and his weight isn't such a big concern. I know it's crappy food...

How to get my rabbit to eat

Does he maybe not understand how to drink from either of those, or have you seen him drinking? I had a bunny that wasn't weaned properly, and had never drank from a dish or bottle. The pellets, are you mixing the old with new, and he's eating all the old pellets out, and leaving the new ones...

    Normal rabbit poop?

No, not at all normal. If the bunny isn't producing any more normal round fecal balls and it's all pretty much that mushy mess, this is considered true diarrhea and is an immediate emergency. The risk is that it's being caused by pathogenic bacteria, which can prove fatal very quickly if the...

    Feeding a pair

I wouldn't worry about it if they're both grazing. It's usually only a problem if one is scarfing it down and the other isn't. I always just put my rabbits pellets in a bowl to share. Though mine usually ate theirs up in the first 20 minutes, but they only got a small portion, twice a day. I...

How to get my rabbit to eat

Are you free feeding the pellet food you got from the breeder? Is his water in a bottle or a dish? A rabbit not drinking well, will also cause them to not eat well. It's important to try and figure out what the problem is with the drinking.

    Lump on ear

Could you post a clear close up photo of it? It's hard to say what it might be from, without being able to see it.

    Weird poop stains?

Along with the questions already asked, I have a few more. Is it just watery stains you're seeing, or are there threads of mucous? The first photo looks like there are threads of mucous in the poop. Where any new foods introduced into your rabbits diet prior to when this first started...

GI stasis symptoms not going away

That's really surprising. It's pretty unusual for a rabbit to actually like being syringe fed. Usually it's a fight to get them to take it. I'm glad everything checked out. Maybe try smearing some of the syringe mix on her hay and pellets, see if that gets her interested in eating it again.

    Rabbit lifting head back?

It doesn't appear to be related to any breathing difficulty as you'd also likely see mouth breathing and other signs of respiratory distress. Maybe he is just trying to smell something or get a better look at something. Or it could possibly be dental related if something is hurting in there...

    Mouth tilt ?

If it's just happening intermittently and not staying in a retracted position, it could be she has a piece of food stuck between her teeth that she's trying to work out of there, or possibly some other dental issue. Though to me, this doesn't look as likely based on your video, with her not...

    Rabbit keeps having bloat/GI issues

First things to verify are that your rabbit is maintaining a healthy weight, is eating hay really well, eating other foods normally, and drinking well. If any of these are off, it can help pinpoint the cause of the stasis, such as from a dental issue. If it coincides with molting, and...

    Mouth tilt ?

Did this only start happening after giving the ivermectin, or was it happening before? Was the correct dose given? Why do you think your rabbit has ear mites? What signs of this are you seeing?

    Unusual behavior in my Bunny

Most rabbits typically don't like changes to their environment and routine very much. Even more so for a rabbit with limited vision. Rabbits map out their environment in their mind, so they know exactly where to run when they feel there's danger. When things are rearranged, this can be...

Hand raising litter of 11 from day 10

Sorry about the loss of your doe and the kits that didn't make it. But I'm glad to see the rest are doing well and little 'Houdini' survived his/her nighttime escape and adventure. Looks pretty happy there munching on the grass. Nothing cuter than baby bunnies 🥰

    What is happening? (matted fur?)

Looks like dirty matted fur. I would gently pull it out of there. If it's still tangled up with his normal fur coat, it may need to be gently teased and separated without excessively pulling at the skin.

    Rabbit with unusual testicles

To me they possibly look normal, maybe more purple than I'd expect. Though I don't remember if my rabbits ever looked that color prior to neutering or not, or if that means anything is abnormal like blood flow being restricted to them for some reason, which could potentially not be a good...
