    playing with bowl

Ok, here's the clip. You gotta watch close though, or you'll miss the toss. She did this for a little while, but by the time I got my camera and was ready - this was the last time she did it (go figure) :?

    playing with bowl

I got a short video clip of Patch playing with her treat bowl ... it's so cute ... she was hilareous ! I put a little alfalfa hay in it for a treat and she didn't like it, so she scooped and threw it all out and then carried the bowl around in her mouth and was flipping it and throwing it ... it...

    offended by stomping

well how do you "scold" a bunny though ? I am afraid of making her even more nervous and afraid of me ... sigh. What do I do when she stomps ?

    offended by stomping

Patch keeps stomping at me ... I feel offended ... should I be ? I talk to her and give her treats and love on her, and she stomps at me ! :(

    sunflower seeds

I would think that a tsp or at most a Tbs would be a good amount per day per rabbit. That's just my estimation.

    sunflower seeds

Hmmm ... I'm very interested in knowing proper amounts as well. I feed sunflower seeds to my goats, and to my pony. Sunflower seeds are a natural source of selenium, good for putting on weight if need or maintaining weight, and great for a nice shiney, beautiful coat ! My goats get approx...

    Flemish Giant Pictures

I'm working on my website and I need some nice flemish giant pictures to make a graphic out of for my "Flemish Giants" page. I want ppl to see just how big they get and what they look like as adults. I'll be getting my baby soon, but it's just a baby. So if anyone has some nice pics of a...

For those of you who have rabbits outside ...

Ok, Well I am definately going to try these "tricks of the trade" and see what works for us ! We're in Southern PA, so it does get COLD here, but not as bad as alot of places obviously. Our average temps in winter are usually around approx 20-30 degrees F I have a farm, and have goats, a...

Do male flemish get bigger than the females ?

Just curious which sex gets bigger in the flemish giants ... or doesn't sex make a difference ?

For those of you who have rabbits outside ...

That's awesome !! I think I'm gonna buy that. Thanks !! Really ? It would be enough to keep it from freezing ? Well perhaps I do this with another water bottle and see how it works here, then I can have the heated water bottle, but also additional water bottles hooked up. I'll try a bowl, but...

    Frederick, MD *It's SNOWING Bunnies!*

Awww ~ I like Sweet Pea and Mickey ! You're not REAL far from me. I'm near Cumberland MD. I'm tempted, but not sure if hubby would go for it. :? So have you rehomed any of them yet ?

For those of you who have rabbits outside ...

How do you keep the rabbit's water from freezing in winter ?? My rabbits will be in a hutch inside my barn for winter, and although they'll be indoors - and draft free, the water still freezes in my buckets and such that are in the barn. So I know that the rabbit's water will freeze. So what...

Lop to be rehomed (located in tri state area in PA)

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I would think the people would realize if the rabbits were fighting, and surely there would be some type of blood or markingswhen they found the dead rabbit - if it was killed by Patch. So I'm assuming it died from something else ... ? Yes, I have my hutch...

Lop to be rehomed (located in tri state area in PA)

Ok, well how would I KNOW right away if they'll be ok or not ? I would be devastated to think they're instantly bonded, and go to check in the next day and see the baby flemish dead. And they're not in my house, they'd be inside my barn, so I wouldn't have constant view of them - so I wouldn't...

Lop to be rehomed (located in tri state area in PA)

I coud try. But I will need to keep them seperate until I know they're bonded ... right ? I mean, it takes time with supervision (like play dates) to get them to bond with each other doesn't it ? So I would still have to use the dog crate, or something else to keep one of them in while the other...

Lop to be rehomed (located in tri state area in PA)

Scared. Just scared from not being fooled with in a long time. Guess what, I think I'm getting attached :?I only had this hutch/rabbit for 5 days now, and I've been talking to her and petting her on a daily basis. I have been kinda afraid to try picking her up, for fear that she would scratch...

Lop to be rehomed (located in tri state area in PA)

Awww - cute pics !!! And I did actually state in my post (but you may have missed it :) ) that I decided to just get one for now. I know I'll want atleast one more later, but for now I'm just getting one until I have more accomodations for another one, etc. Plus I just talked to a lady...

Lop to be rehomed (located in tri state area in PA)

Yes, it will be kept outside. My hutch is 3 1/2 feet long x 2 feet wide. It looks and seems quite large. The adult lop has LOTS of room inside it. I know flemish giants get larger though of course. My flemmish is just a baby though, and in spring I plan to have my hubby build me another BIGGER...

Lop to be rehomed (located in tri state area in PA)

I have a gorgeous lop rabbit that is in desperate need of a wonderful new home. Let me tell you "Patch's" story ... There was a little girl who really wanted a bunny and saw Patch and simply fell in love ! Her parents brought Patch home and introduced Patch to the other farm animals and...
