We recently took in a new bunny ( i do private sanctuary from my own home, with a bun count of 27 ) this new bunny who is still nameless, came with some red cedar bedding, i use shavings from our own barn but i figure before i toss it out, i would see if its possible to use it, if not directly...

i am not sure when it happened..but all in all it looks good..she's eating/drinking normal ( i'm not sure how much hay she was given before but she was bedding with sawdust i dont like to use it myself i use hay, with so many its easier, and i know that there is no toxins in the hay as it comes...

i'm unsure of her breed as i just picked her up yesterday from a woman whom didnt want them anymore ( she came with another female) the woman had them together and they had a huge spat, to where the younger/smaller female ended up with a gash on her side..in approximate it looks to be about 2.5...

i have insulated box's for them when the temp gets low, for us we have a heated wood stove. outdoors so we freeze to fill it but warm up quickly inside..the buns hutches stay pretty decent with the lights and insulated box's, if they werent i have 11 other rooms i'd put them in if needed..or...

i believe on monday nite the temp here for the first time in ages dropped to -30 below with windchill...reg temp was just under 0

so far it seems it hasnt disturbed them in any way.. the light is to provide heat since our temps have been below 20 degrees when the weather warms they will be shut off as normal.. they each have individual covered areas that have 1 access hole for them to turn to at nite..they seem to use it...
