Hi Mrs. PBJ I have also used wooden rods to hold up my layers on my new cage (not comletely finished yet) but instead of using cable ties to hold them in place, I've just used the saw to cut a little notch out so it slots over the wire. It works great and doesn't move at all :) Jo x

After everything going so well for Cookie yesterday, I woke up this morning to find blood in her cage. I checked her prolapse right away and it was bleeding quite a bit and had what looked like a bite mark in it. I used cooled, boiled water to bathe it then smothered it in petroleum jelly. Then...

The vet seems confident that the deworming medicine will help alot, he said he expects the prolapse to be half it's size by saturday. His biggest concerns were that it would dry out or that Cookie would bite it but so far neither has happened which is great. Jo x
