My minilop just went to the vet two weeks ago. He is four years old and neutered. She checked his ears, teeth, and claws and gave his annual vaccines. The vet was very impressed with his health. But today I noticed these red marks (scabs?) along a vein inside his ear, in just the 1 ear. I checked inside the ear canal and it's completely clean, checked inside his fur and also seems so clean, he also has a 4 year old lion head brother (also neutered) who constantly helps keep him clean. His brother has no symptoms by the way. He hasn't been outside yet this year either, only on our three story high apartment balcony. Could it be a mosquito bite? Or fleas? Or mites? Or is all okay? My minilop seems completely normal, relaxed, playful, eating and pooping well, and he isn't scratching it. I have attached a picture.

It’s great to hear your minilop is healthy overall! Red marks or scabs in the ear could be due to several reasons, such as mosquito bites, mites, or even minor injuries from grooming. Since he isn’t scratching it and seems normal otherwise, it might not be an urgent issue, but I’d still recommend keeping an eye on it. If the marks worsen or you notice any other symptoms, a follow-up vet visit might be needed.
